The successful candidate will be part of a diverse workforce dedicated to maintaining the efficiency and functionality of our manufacturing equipment and systems.

This is a permanent, full-time position where you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in our manufacturing facility.

You will be working closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure optimal operation of machinery and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.

Perform regular tests and inspections on electrical systems, including backup generators, alarm systems, and machinery controls.

Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to diagnose and repair complex electrical problems.

Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.

Ensure compliance with state and local electrical codes.

Troubleshoot issues with Allen Bradley PLCs and other control systems.

Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.

Train and mentor junior electricians and apprentices to foster skills development and adherence to safety protocols.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, technicians, and production staff.

Respond quickly to emergency situations, including during after-hours.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest ways to streamline electrical repair processes.

Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Proven experience with blueprint reading, electrical repair, problem-solving, and Allen Bradley control systems.

Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.

Valid state electrician license.

Proficiency in using electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.

Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations, and guidelines.

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.

Exceptional listening and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Physical ability to lift heavy objects, crawl, and stand for long periods.

Willingness to work overtime, on-call, and during evenings and weekends as needed.
