Spang Engineered Solutions designs and manufactures custom inductive components for an array of industries. Our manufacturing locations include Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix, AZ, McKinney, TX in the U.S.A., and Xiamen, China.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Development and adherence to quality control and manufacturing procedures as required to maintain ISO 9001 and AS9100 conformance.
- Maintain and report product conformance to engineering and customer specifications through inspection of raw material, work in process and finished goods inventories.
- Review the production process for conformance to quality standards and report quality statistics.
- Establish and present regular training for inspection and manufacturing employees on quality standards and issues.
- Develop programs to encourage each employee to perform quality control as a part of their operation.
- Maintain test equipment, including a calibration schedule and any documentation required by AS9100
- Perform internal hand tool calibrations
- Inspecting and testing raw material, work in process and finished goods parts as needed.
- Evaluate RMAs, report findings, and provide corrective actions/process improvements.
- Coordinate with purchasing to initiate and process DMRs.
Qualifications include five years of quality control/assurance and supervisory experience. An associate degree or equivalent experience is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred.

Position Overview
GTI is seeking a Director of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to lead enterprise safety, environmental compliance, and risk management across manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing and enforcing EHS programs that protect employees, ensure regulatory compliance, and support operational excellence in fabrication-driven manufacturing environments. The Director of EHS partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain leadership to embed safety into daily production activities while maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and ISO-aligned quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and lead GTI’s Environmental Health & Safety strategy across manufacturing facilities
• Establish and enforce safety programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and federal regulations
• Build and maintain safety management systems that support ISO 9001 operational discipline
• Lead site-level safety initiatives including hazard identification, risk mitigation, and safety audits
• Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
• Develop leading and lagging safety KPIs including TRIR, DART, near-miss reporting, and incident frequency rates
• Implement safety training programs covering equipment operation, lockout/tagout, confined space, welding safety, and industrial hazards
• Partner with manufacturing leadership to integrate safety into fabrication, assembly, welding, and production workflows
• Ensure environmental compliance including waste handling, hazardous material storage, emissions reporting, and regulatory documentation
• Manage site emergency response planning and incident preparedness
• Conduct internal audits and inspections to verify compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Develop and maintain safety documentation, policies, and regulatory reporting requirements

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
• 10+ years of EHS experience within industrial manufacturing or fabrication environments
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing EHS programs or safety teams
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards
• Experience implementing safety systems within ISO-aligned manufacturing environments
• Proven experience leading incident investigations and corrective action programs
• Strong knowledge of industrial hazards including welding, fabrication, heavy equipment, and manufacturing processes

We are seeking a highly skilled, technically proficient and detail-oriented Principal Mechanical Engineer with expertise in metal structures, frame design, pipes and fabrication to support the development of power and cooling infrastructure for data centers. This role is critical in designing robust mechanical systems that house and support electrical and thermal management equipment, ensuring structural integrity, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards.
What will you do?
- Experience designing and integrating hydronic systems including pumps, piping networks, valves, and heat exchangers for data center cooling applications.
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics, pressure drop calculations, and pipe sizing for chilled water and glycol-based systems.
- Understanding of installation constraints, maintenance access, and serviceability in large-scale mechanical infrastructure.
- Design and develop mechanical frames, enclosures, and support structures for data center power and cooling products (UPS systems, battery racks, CRAC units, containment systems, LVS, MVS).
- Perform advanced structural analysis using FEA tools to validate mechanical integrity under static, dynamic, seismic, and thermal loads.
- Analyze load paths, stress concentrations, and fatigue life of structural components to ensure long-term reliability.
- Design metal enclosures with considerations for airflow, thermal containment, EMI shielding, and environmental protection.
- Evaluate and implement new materials, coatings, and fabrication technologies to enhance product performance and reliability.
- Participate in customer engagements and site visits to understand deployment constraints and gather feedback for design improvements.
- Create detailed CAD models and fabrication drawings, including weldments, sheet metal, and machined parts
- Select appropriate materials and fabrication methods to optimize cost, performance, and reliability
- Collaborate with electrical, thermal, and systems engineering teams to integrate mechanical designs with functional components.
- Lead mechanical design reviews and contribute to cross-functional design validation efforts.
- Develop and maintain design documentation including BOMs, specifications, test plans, and engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Drive continuous improvement in mechanical design for manufacturability (DFM), cost reduction, and performance optimization.
- Interface with suppliers and customers to resolve fabrication issues and ensure quality standards are met.
- Support lifecycle management of mechanical components, including obsolescence planning and alternate sourcing.
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for mechanical failures or field issues.
- Ensure mechanical designs support airflow management, thermal containment, and integration with cooling systems (in-row cooling, rear door heat exchangers).
- Collaborate with compliance and certification teams to ensure mechanical designs meet global regulatory requirements (UL, CE, RoHS, REACH)
