Construction Site Manager
- Remote between projects (Home base is flexible – ideally Texas or Louisiana)
- Base Salary: $100,000 and up (commensurate with experience)
- Direct Hire / Full-Time
- On-site at project locations nationwide; remote work between mobilizations
- 75%+ travel required; temporary relocation per project (4 weeks to 6+ months)

We’re seeking a Construction Site Manager to serve as the single point of accountability on-site during industrial construction and installation projects across the U.S. This is a highly mobile, field-based leadership role where you’ll direct subcontractor crews, coordinate directly with clients, and drive execution from mobilization through commissioning.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the primary on-site representative for the full duration of projects
- Lead and direct subcontractor crews and field personnel to ensure work aligns with issued drawings, specifications, and scope
- Manage day-to-day site execution including scheduling, sequencing, safety, and quality control
- Coordinate with client representatives on access, shutdowns, outage windows, lockout/tagout, and logistics
- Oversee structural steel installation, crane rail alignment, heavy lifts, rigging operations, welding, and scaffold activities
- Enforce project safety plans, OSHA 1926 standards, and client-specific requirements
- Review engineered lift plans, rigging plans, and critical work procedures
- Manage QA/QC activities including weld inspections (VT/MT), torque records, coating verification, and alignment checks
- Support load testing and final commissioning efforts
- Maintain daily reports, safety logs, progress documentation, and photo records
- Identify and communicate field conflicts or scope changes to engineering and project management
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in industrial construction, structural steel installation, or heavy mechanical/material handling projects
- Proven leadership managing subcontractor crews and multi-trade field activities
- Strong knowledge of structural steel erection, bolted/welded connections, crane rail systems, and alignment practices
- Familiarity with AWS D1.1, AISC, RCSC, CMAA-70, AIST TR-13, and OSHA 1926 standards
- AWS CWI or welding inspection experience preferred
- Ability to read structural/mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and fabrication details
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients, engineers, and craft personnel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams for reporting and documentation
- Ability to climb, crawl, work at heights, enter confined spaces, and operate in high-heat industrial environments
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
Travel & Schedule:
- Travel 75%+ of the year to project sites nationwide
- Temporary relocation for project durations ranging from 4 weeks to 6+ months
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (extended hours, nights, and weekends during outages or critical phases)
- Per diem eligible while traveling
