MEP Superintendent Job Description: The MEP Superintendent’s role is to coordinate and manage all activities related to the construction startup and commissioning of the mechanical, electrical, and control systems in accordance with the contract documents and project schedule.

Preconstruction Project Executive
- Design Manager Job Description: The Preconstruction Executive – Design Manager reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Services and supports the Vice President of Preconstruction while leading the development and execution of the company’s design build strategy.
The Design Manager is a key leadership role that oversees the execution of the design build strategy and project execution from beginning to end.
In addition, this role provides design-build leadership and design management during pursuits and preconstruction by analyzing RFP/RFQ requirements, coordinating the preconstruction team leads, guiding design team selection, and managing the design phase to maintain alignment to cost, schedule, constructability, procurement, and client performance requirements.

Great American Restaurants is seeking an experienced Director of Construction Development to join our growing construction team. This on-site role is based out of our support center office in Fairfax, Virginia, with frequent on-site work expected at all new and existing locations. Established in 1974, Great American Restaurants operates thirteen high-volume, upper casual restaurants, an upscale dining location, three artisan bakeries, and a fast-casual BBQ joint in Northern Virginia and Maryland.

Training:
- Coordinate field training in job specific and safety training
- Ensure that field staff are trained according to Suffolk guidelines

- Minimum of 15 years of general contracting with a focus on mission critical/data center experience
- Each project has specific characteristics regarding size, complexity, sector etc, which dictate the precise years of experience and industry knowledge necessary for success, above and beyond generic construction knowledge and experience

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Fire Safety Specialist to provide support for a Facilities and Life Support Contract performed at an overseas location.
Essential Job Duties
- Must have a willingness to work on a call-in basis to resolve equipment deficiencies impacting facility operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Active in scope Secret security clearance.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the installation of fire detection, alarm, control, and suppression systems.
- Must have reach-back capability of a professional engineer licensee resource available that holds, as a minimum, a National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Level III and be a certified technician in fire protection systems who is legally qualified to practice in the United States with the requisite experience.
Work Environment
- Must reside at an overseas location.
- Long hours, exposure to harsh weather and other hazardous conditions.
- Wearing of location appropriate PPE and clothing when in the field is required.

Step into Your New Role
As a Construction Inspector-Senior, you will perform general construction inspection tasks to verify compliance standards codes, and ordinances, zoning regulations, as well as contract plans, specifications, and special provisions. Projects will consist of bridges, roadways, and environmental components to these services. This position is available in Northern Virginia, Richmond, Lynchburg, Christiansburg, and Hampton Roads areas of VA.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects and monitors construction sites and the various work activities on these sites to verify adherence to standards, codes, and specifications.
- Prepares and submits daily reports documenting inspections and other relevant project information.
- Must adhere to all project contract documentation and testing of materials associated with inspections.
- Assists in the preparation of contract change orders, contract estimates, progress pay estimates, and other documents or reports required by the project.
- Verifies lines and grades of project improvements.
- Coordinate and perform field testing of materials associated with inspection as required.
- Implement quantity calculations for pay estimates.
- Performs analytical calculations such as basic earthwork, grading, profiles, and special staking procedures.
- Communicates verbally and in writing with contractor, owner, and project stakeholders as directed.
- Ability to act as the on-site Administrator in the absence of the on-site Administrator.
- May direct and coordinate assigned staff as well as mentor's technical expertise with others.
- Actively participate in Kleinfelder's Safety Programs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years in the field or in trade-related training in a design, construction inspection, construction materials engineering/testing, or other construction related field.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
- Knowledge and experience with equipment used in construction inspection, and field testing of construction materials.
- Must be able to read, write, comprehend and speak English fluently.
- Attendance, punctuality and reliability are essential requirements.
- Able to work independently, make routine decisions concerning construction work progress.
- Current/valid State Driver's License REQUIRED with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a fingerprint/background check.
- Construction field materials testing certifications, i.e. Asphalt, concrete, workzone, pavement marking, environmental, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent to include courses in related work type.
