As the Program Manager , you will oversee program execution from start to finish, providing strategic direction, mentorship to project managers, and exceptional client relationship management. This is not an Information Technology-related position. If you do not have experience managing power distribution engineering/design projects, you will likely not be considered for the position.

Note: This position can work remotely, but new hires will be required to come to our headquarters in Perrysburg, OH, for an initial 2-week in-person paid orientation and training period.

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:
· Responsible for measuring and developing the project manager's abilities and effectiveness through KPI's and setting core competencies in accordance with corporate governance.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project implementation and customer satisfaction.
· Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance the company's visibility.
· Serve as a mentor and coach to other project managers, offering guidance and support.

Program Planning and Strategy:
· Oversees project managers in the delivery of all program-related projects in accordance with the contractual agreement, scope, schedule, and budget of the project.
· Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all phases of projects within the designated program in accordance with project management processes, policies, guidelines, and corporate governance.
· Develop and monitor high-level project workflows, validate project scopes, and collaborate on project priorities.
· Oversees the creation of proposals, kickoff meetings, and discovery calls.

Program Monitoring and Reporting:
· Prepare, review, and approve project change orders and/or correction actions in collaboration with the client, Project Engineer(s), and Operations Manager.
· Provide program cost forecasting over the life of the project or program.

Program Closure:
· Ensure the successful closure of the program, including finalizing all program activities, obtaining acceptance from stakeholders, and conducting post-program evaluations.
· Document lessons learned and share best practices with the organization.

Communication:
· Maintain clear and consistent communication with program stakeholders, including executive leadership, project managers, and cross-functional teams.
· Provide regular program updates to management and stakeholders.
· Resolve conflicts and facilitate effective communication within the program team.
· Liaises between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated.
· Accountable for contractual correspondence and communication with all stakeholders, including identification and reporting of risks, liabilities, and opportunities.

Risk Management:
· Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success and develop risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project life cycle.

Budget Management:
· Manage Program level P&L reporting.

Customer/Client Relationship Management:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional service.
· Build relationships with Sr. Leadership within the customer organization.
· Build an understanding of the customer’s organizational structure and decision-making process.
· Identify and understand client challenges, propose solutions, and tailor product/service offerings accordingly.
· Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
· Lead Program update calls and in-person meetings with external clients.
· Monitor and manage expectations of communication between staff and external clients.
· Develop and execute a strategic plan to identify and target new business opportunities in the market.

Requirements:

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Education Requirements – Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering/Engineering Technology or Bachelor's of Business Administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Requirements - A minimum of 7 years of experience in the Power Utility Industry with engineering, operations, and /or project management, including financial oversight and personnel development. And a minimum of 3 years of functional, or direct people management experience, with the proven ability to lead, motivate, and influence.
Project Management Certification (PMP) or equivalent certification required.

About the Role



The Field Service Coordinator’s primary function will be to assist the Service Manager and Service team in coordination with the AVL Service Team (Hamilton) to ensure operations and communications are clear and followed. This role will involve coordinating service activities, ensuring teams have the necessary resources before traveling, and maintaining strong communication with internal departments and the Service Team from Charlotte. Service Coordination and Logistics

  • Coordinate all travel logistics for field teams, including hotel bookings and B1 documentation, ensuring alignment with project schedules established by the Service Team.
  • Plan, track, and manage shipments, that only includes ship loose materials, warranty parts, NCR components, and site installation materials, ensuring timely and accurate delivery in collaboration with the AVL Service Team.
  • Maintain a high level of situational awareness across all active field deployments, proactively communicating all correspondence back to the Service team.


Inventory, Fleet, and Material Management

What will you do?

- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design and engineering of hyperscale Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) systems, including liquid-cooled rack assemblies, CDUs, manifolds, enclosures, structural frames, and associated hydronic piping systems.

- Serve as the technical authority for single-phase and two-phase liquid cooling architectures, including primary and secondary loop design, in-rack distribution, and system integration within hyperscale data center environments.

- Define and validate operational performance requirements for liquid-cooled infrastructure, including pressure ratings, hydrostatic limits, temperature ranges, flow rates and uniformity, thermal expansion, durability, and serviceability.

- Design, analyze, and validate machined components, welded fabrications, manifolds, and structural systems using advanced engineering principles, including stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), flow modeling, and structural load calculations to ensure mechanical integrity and code compliance.

- Lead wetted material selection and compatibility analysis for liquid cooling systems, including corrosion mitigation strategies, surface treatments, cleanliness standards, and long-term durability considerations.

- Develop and review CAD models and complete technical data packages using CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent tools; ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, and system-level integration.

- Author and approve technical specifications for piping systems, rack-level cooling infrastructure, and hydronic components, including installation guidelines, maintenance procedures, testing requirements, and compliance with applicable standards (ASME, ISO).

- Establish and oversee validation protocols including hydrostatic pressure testing, leak detection and mitigation, flow resistance analysis, and corrosion verification to ensure regulatory compliance and operational reliability.

- Evaluate customer design proposals and technical specifications to assess feasibility, manufacturability, cost, and risk; provide recommendations to optimize performance and total cost of ownership.

- Lead cross-functional design reviews with electrical, thermal, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure full system integration and compliance with product specifications and applicable plumbing and hydronic codes.

- Optimize rack manifold design and manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, surface finishing, connection interfaces, venting and draining strategies, and flow path optimization to enhance performance and manufacturability.

- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing assembly methods and tooling in collaboration with production teams and equipment vendors to improve quality, scalability, and cost efficiency.

- Lead root cause investigations for complex mechanical failures identified during validation or field deployment and implement corrective design improvements.

- Provide technical leadership in vendor qualification and management for mechanical components and liquid cooling subsystems.

- Identify and mitigate technical risks impacting performance, schedule, or cost, and contribute to R&D initiatives advancing liquid cooling technologies and system innovation.

What will you do?
