Bullpen is partnering with Space Craft to recruit a Development & Design Associate to join their growing development team in Charlotte.
Space Craft is a design-driven real estate development firm focused on creating walkable neighborhoods and sustainable mixed-use communities. This role will work closely with the development, architecture, and construction teams to help shepherd projects from early concept through construction and delivery.

The Role
The Development & Design Associate will support the management of a growing portfolio of multifamily and mixed-use projects, coordinating with architects, consultants, and contractors to move projects through design, permitting, and construction phases.
This role will balance analytical problem-solving with hands-on project management, helping ensure projects are delivered on schedule, on budget, and aligned with the firm’s design vision.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate design review and collaborate with the internal architecture team during design and construction phases
• Manage consultants including civil, structural, MEP, environmental, survey, and geotechnical teams
• Work closely with general contractors and architects to manage project schedules and milestones
• Prepare internal project updates summarizing schedule, budget, design progress, and key risks

Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing large-scale and complex rebar fabrication projects from contract award through final delivery and closeout. This role provides leadership to project managers, detailers, and support staff, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements, shop capabilities, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities

Drafting tasks include creating 3D models and associated drawings, as well as revising existing models and drawings, in accordance with company drafting standards.
Typical deliverables include detail, sheet metal, weldment, and assembly drawings.
Design mounting systems and layouts for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components, ensuring proper serviceability, usability, and integration within the overall system.

Key Responsibilities: Must be located in one of these primary areas: Charlotte NC Support planning, scheduling, and coordination of project milestones alongside PM's Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and external partners to monitor project timelines and costs Track deliverables and ensure timely follow-up on action items Maintain and organize key project documents including invoicing, meeting notes, subcontractor/vendor invoices, and change order logs Generate weekly/monthly project status reports for Project Management Leadership and stakeholders Assist and support project invoicing at the direction of the Project Managers Serve as a projects liaison between internal departments (Projects, Sales, Service) Schedule and facilitate project turnover meetings for new projects Ensure alignment across teams by managing updates and feedback loops Complete new vendors and subcontractors account creation in our PO system Assist in the implementation and maintenance of project management processes and tools Support risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and issue resolution Support cost tracking and budget monitoring activities with Project Managers and Project Engineers Participate in team planning sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives Qualifications: Minimum high school diploma 2+ years of experience in project coordination or a similar role Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with MS Project or similar tools a plus Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field Experience in the HVAC or manufacturing industry Familiarity with Agile or Stage-Gate project management methodologies Benefits provided: 401K Medical, dental, and vision Sick time as applicable to state law Butler America Aerospace, LLC.
