St. Louis law firm's Business, Real Estate & Corporate Transactions Group is seeking a 5+ year corporate transactional associate to join our sophisticated and growing business practice.

This role is designed for an attorney currently practicing at a larger regional or national firm who is ready for more ownership, meaningful client relationships, and a clear path toward long-term growth within a high-performing transactional group.

The Practice

  • Buy- and sell-side mergers and acquisitions
  • Asset and stock purchase transactions
  • Commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing
  • Corporate structuring and governance matters
  • Strategic transactions from letter of intent through closing

We represent privately held businesses, developers, investors, and growth-oriented companies across industries.

What You’ll Do

This position is not limited to drafting support. You will:

  • Lead significant portions of M&A transactions from diligence through closing
  • Draft and negotiate core transaction documents (purchase agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, LOIs, NDAs, financing documents)
  • Advise clients on corporate governance and risk management
  • Serve as primary or secondary client contact on transactions
  • Coordinate with lenders, accountants, business advisors, and opposing counsel
  • Mentor junior associates and contribute to team development

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of corporate transactional and/or commercial real estate experience
  • Demonstrated experience handling sophisticated M&A transactions
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills across complex deal documents
  • Ability to independently manage deal workflow and timelines
  • Commercial judgment and client-facing confidence
  • Missouri licensure or eligibility for admission

What you'll do:

  • Receive 6 months of direct training from experienced Logistics Account Executives
  • Help your account executive solve customer needs, find carriers for time-sensitive freight and manage daily operations
  • Participate in hands-on and virtual training sessions
  • Develop negotiation skills through prospecting and cold calling
  • Build your book
  • Use your training to meet sales metrics and become eligible for commission
  • Establish relationships to close new customers
  • Negotiate prices with customers and carriers
  • Resolve freight issues to ensure timely pickup and delivery
