Join AAR’s Procurement team at our global headquarters in Wood Dale for an immersive 10-week summer internship.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Spend 10 weeks gaining hands-on experience supporting Procurement and Supply Chain Finance activities, including spend analysis, cost tracking, budgeting support, and financial reporting related to sourcing and supplier management.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting activities by preparing procurement-related financial reports, dashboards, and summary materials to support leadership decision-making.
• Support analysis of supplier spends cost drivers, pricing trends, and savings initiatives to help evaluate procurement performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Operations, and Supply Chain to understand business drivers, support purchasing decisions, and improve procurement and financial processes.
• Develop professional skills through mentorship, structured learning sessions, and exposure to financial systems, procurement tools, and best practices used within a global aerospace and defense organization.
• Build a strong foundation for a future career in Procurement, Supply Chain Finance, at AAR or within the broader business community.

Performance Objectives:

• Learning & Development: Participate in structured learning sessions and mentorship opportunities with procurement, supply chain, and finance leaders, as well as subject matter experts across the organization.
• Project Management: Take ownership of a meaningful procurement- or supply chain-related project, working independently and collaboratively to analyze data, develop insights, and present findings or recommendations to Procurement and Business Leadership.
• Business Acumen: Develop a strong understanding of how a global organization operates by learning key procurement and supply chain drivers, cost and supplier dynamics, and how procurement supports business strategy within the aerospace and defense industry.

What you need to be successful in the role:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain or a related field preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate financial insights clearly.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $20/hr. This range reflects the base pay for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location.

MHS is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students’ academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential.

Responsibilities include:

Flex Houseparents eventually transition into a Placed Houseparent role, where they live and work with the same group of students in their own student home.

Senior Legal Counsel – Commercial Finance

A growing legal team in the greater Chicago area is seeking a strategic, business‐oriented Senior Legal Counsel to support high‐impact commercial finance operations. This role serves as a key legal advisor and business partner, with a primary focus on equipment finance, commercial lending, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Lead transaction origination for equipment loans, leases, and other commercial financing arrangements

• Draft, review, and negotiate finance contracts, leasing agreements, vendor programs, capital markets agreements, and related documentation

• Monitor U.S. federal and state regulatory developments—including commercial lending, leasing, consumer protection, and data privacy—and integrate compliance requirements into business processes

• Advise on supplier management and third‐party risk, including onboarding, risk assessments, and contract performance issues

• Support a broad range of legal matters such as employment law, intellectual property, dispute resolution, compliance initiatives, corporate governance, and operational legal needs

• Partner with internal business units (Sales, Operations, Credit, Capital Markets) to provide timely, accurate legal guidance

Key Qualifications

• Strong understanding of U.S. federal and Illinois state laws applicable to equipment finance, secured lending, and commercial transactions

• Familiarity with UCC Article 2 and Article 9, contract law, and related regulatory frameworks

• Experience with contract negotiation, commercial transactions, litigation, restructuring, workouts, and distressed asset matters

• Ability to research and interpret laws and provide practical, business‐focused legal guidance

• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build strong cross‐functional partnerships

• Proactive problem‐solver with strong analytical and critical‐thinking abilities

• Comfortable leveraging legal technology and modern AI tools to improve efficiency

Education & Experience Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD)

• Licensed and in good standing to practice in Illinois, or eligible for an in‐house counsel license
