What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical design, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of engineering experience, preferably in product design engineering duties with a strong work background within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with CAD standards.
  • Experience in product design, GD&T using Solid Works, Inventor, FEA, and DFMEA.
  • Significant “hands on the product” type experience.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to use 3D and 2D CAD.
  • General Understanding and experience using business ERP systems and software.

We are currently looking for a Quality Inspector to join our dynamic, fast-paced, and growing team. The Inspector is responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) to ensure the integrity and quality of materials and components. What You Will Be Doing


Non-Destructive Testing:



  • Primarily perform Visual Testing (VT) to assess materials and components for surface defects, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Support additional NDT methods such as magnetic particle testing (MT) and liquid penetrant testing (PT) when required.
  • Prepare test specimens and equipment, following established procedures and safety protocols.

Inspection and Evaluation:



  • Conduct thorough inspections of materials and components to identify defects, irregularities, and compliance with specifications.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of NDT activities, including inspection reports, test results, and defect logs.

Equipment Maintenance:



  • Maintain NDT equipment and tools to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.

This Manufacturing Engineer will report to the Director of Manufacturing to design, implement and improve manufacturing process (Machining, fabrication and Assembly).   • Drives equipment reliability and safety, troubleshoot equipment failure and collaborate with maintenance team to improve reliability and safety of equipment and process.
  • Drives CI across process, equipment, materials to further improve manufacturing efficiency, cost reduction and waste reduction, perform time study and SPC to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform process changeover in between customer projects, continue access process on materials, equipment, tooling and manpower.
  • Provide hands-on training and coaching to product personnel on process, process improvement, changes, equipment set-up and maintenance, etc.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical Engineer, industrial engineer, or related fields.
  • Recent years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, industrial engineer or Process Engineer, exposure to assembly, machining, manufacturing desired

  • You will lay out shell, deck and bulkhead plates, I-beams, channels, angles, pipe and round bar and various other structural shapes, gun rings, struts, framing and various foundation structures and other parts from blueprints and templates.
  • You will cut and shape plates, beams and other heavy metal structural shapes, using various shop machinery.
  • You will use precision tooling such as micrometers, feeler gauges and torque wrenches for meeting required tolerances per technical work documents when required.
  • You will report to supervisors on the status and progress of work, nature of work delays and answer questions on overall work operations and problems.
  • You will inspect completed and in process work for quality of workmanship and adherence to requirements, specifications, standards, plans and schedules.
