A Day in the Life of the Structural & Civil Engineer
In this role, you'll take the lead on designing, analyzing, and managing a variety of civil and structural projects throughout Eugene and the surrounding Pacific Northwest region. From local site development to structural systems, your work will have a visible impact on the communities you serve.
You'll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, surveyors, and planners, ensuring projects are safe, efficient, and aligned with Oregon regulations and environmental considerations. Your contributions will support the delivery of high-quality, practical engineering solutions for both public and private sector clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating structural and civil designs using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Performing engineering calculations to ensure stability and code compliance
- Evaluating materials and construction methods for efficiency and regional suitability
- Leading projects from concept through completion, managing timelines and budgets
- Coordinating with clients, architects, contractors, and local stakeholders
- Conducting site inspections to verify compliance with design documents and safety standards
- Ensuring adherence to Oregon building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines
- Troubleshooting issues that arise during construction
- Preparing technical reports, calculations, proposals, and project documentation
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Oregon or an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) working toward licensure
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and safety standards
- Proven experience managing projects from start to finish, including reviewing shop drawings and submittals
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Our client, a well-established engineering firm, is seeking an Experienced Structural Engineer passionate about engineering and eager to broaden their expertise across diverse projects and building types. This role will work on projects of varying sizes, analyzing and designing concrete, steel, wood, and masonry structures, while managing projects from start to finish. Responsibilities include mentoring junior engineers and collaborating closely with clients, stakeholders, and Principal Engineers throughout the design and construction process. Responsibilities:
- Work on projects varying in size from small to large multidisciplinary.
- Analyze and design a range of project types including concrete, steel, wood, and masonry structures in diverse market sectors.

- See the whole scope of a project and work on it from start to finish.
- Work directly with a Principal Engineer, overseeing day-to-day activities throughout the design and construction process.

Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering is required
- Master's Degree preferred

The Student CT Technologist will perform procedures on patients of all ages, according to approved protocols, radiation safety, and established exam indicators. Duties include:
Schedules and obtains history from patients.
Evaluates the appropriateness of requested exams to assist radiologists.
Maintains knowledge of equipment and instruments/supplies pertinent to high quality exams.
Provides effective internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity.
May travel between SARMC and SAMC-Nampa.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Colleague must have and maintain an active Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
Colleague must obtain and maintain an active Oregon license prior to providing any services in Oregon.
Colleague must also obtain and maintain an active CT temporary 6-month Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) before and during CT cross training.
Training must be complete within 12 months as the temporary is only renewable once with the state of Oregon.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS or as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
