The Systems Engineering, Integrated Systems Department is seeking a Systems Engineering Technical Lead for the NASAMS product line. This role requires strong technical expertise and engineering leadership skills to drive the design and development of world-class air and missile defense systems.
The Integrated Systems Department supports Raytheon by providing world-class weapon systems engineering. Domain expertise includes radar systems, effector systems, battle management, command and control, network design, battlespace integration, and interoperability for both domestic and international customers.
You will work alongside motivated engineers who are responsible for conducting systems engineering studies and trades; supporting system requirements definition and analysis; and contributing to algorithm development, integration, test, and evaluation.
What You Will Do
- Provide technical oversight and management for a variety of Systems Engineering efforts
- Concept and requirements development (including decomposition and flowdown) within a mature product-line
- Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design
- Algorithm optimization and development
- Multi-disciplinary development efforts across the kill-chain for an Air and Missile Defense System
- Collaboration with customer to bring new capabilities to the warfighter
- Functional analysis of real world and test data; trade studies to bring advanced features to fielded system
- Support and lead Internal and External Program and Design Reviews
- Collaborate with other IPT/CPT leads from the various functions and products
- Support and lead Internal Research and Development for future capability upgrades
- System integration and test support, including live fire test events
- Periods of travel up to 25% of time both domestically and internationally
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience with Air Defense Systems in systems engineering roles supporting development or production
- Experience with managing budget, scope and/or earned value

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.
• The base salary range for this role in Atlanta is $101,000.00 -$123,000.00.
This is an estimated range, however, specific base salaries within the range depend on various factors such as experience and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.
In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a bonus of up to 16% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced React Native Lead / Mobile Architect to provide technical leadership and oversee mobile engineering operations. The ideal candidate will define and drive the mobile architecture strategy while leading the design and development of scalable, high-performance mobile applications.
This role requires deep expertise in React Native, TypeScript, and Native iOS integration, along with experience building production-grade applications delivered to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and oversee daily mobile engineering operations.
- Define and drive the mobile architecture strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
- Architect modular, reusable component systems and scalable state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, Context API).
- Design mobile navigation, routing, and deep linking strategies using React Navigation or Expo Router.
- Implement secure authentication flows including OAuth, OIDC, PKCE, biometrics, secure storage, and token lifecycle management.
- Integrate native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) modules for SDKs such as payments, fraud detection, analytics, push notifications, and device security.
- Optimize mobile applications for performance, startup time, bundle size, memory usage, rendering performance, and offline caching.
- Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications using tools such as Fastlane, EAS Build, App Store Connect, and Google Play Console.
- Lead release management, versioning strategy, and store compliance processes.
- Ensure adherence to mobile security best practices, privacy compliance, and accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with backend teams to define API contracts and optimize mobile-backend interactions.
- Champion automated testing and code quality using Jest, React Native Testing Library, and Detox.
- Mentor engineers and promote a culture of ownership, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in architecture reviews and roadmap planning for long-term mobile platform scalability.
What You Bring to the Table
- Strong hands-on experience building production-grade applications using React Native and TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of the Expo ecosystem, including EAS, OTA updates, and build pipelines.
- Expertise in mobile architecture patterns such as Clean Architecture, MVVM, and modular architectures.
- Experience integrating native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) modules into React Native applications.
- Strong understanding of mobile app lifecycle, memory management, threading, and performance optimization.
- Experience implementing push notifications, deep linking, analytics SDKs, and mobile security frameworks.
- Familiarity with authentication frameworks including OIDC, OAuth, and PKCE.
- Experience with REST or GraphQL API integrations, network resiliency, and offline-first design.
- Strong knowledge of mobile DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release governance.
- Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to balance hands-on development with architectural leadership.
Basic Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of software development experience.
- 6+ years of hands-on mobile development experience.
- 4+ years leading React Native applications in production environments.
- Proven experience delivering mobile applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Experience working with cloud-based backends such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps best practices.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and mentorship experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make strategic architectural decisions.

Personalization Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and execute the product roadmap for Personalization Intelligence across all customer touchpoints.

- Lead the transformation from campaign-based targeting to intelligent, model-driven personalization at scale.
ML-Powered Personalization Capabilities
- Partner closely with Data Science to design, build, and scale: Recommendation systems, Propensity and propensity-to-buy models, Predictive engagement and churn models
- Own the end-to-end ML model lifecycle from ideation and business case through training, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization
- Translate model outputs into actionable, testable personalization strategies.
Experimentation & Measurement
- Define clear hypotheses and testing frameworks to measure incremental lift.
- Collaborate with analytics to establish robust tracking, experimentation design, and performance reporting.
- Monitor and interpret key ML performance metrics and business KPIs.
- Own and deliver the product roadmap for Personalization Intelligence, driving clarity in goal definition, accountability for business outcomes, and focused execution.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Product Management experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering personalization, recommendation systems, Propensity/propensity-to-buy models, and other predictive models
- Retail or e-commerce experience strongly preferred
