We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and proposals for piping, welding, structural steel, and various mechanical projects within the industrial sector, including oil & gas, Petro-Chemical, Power Generation, and renewable energy industries.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Estimate Preparation:

Develop comprehensive and precise cost estimates for mechanical projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

Interpret and analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to accurately determine project scope and requirements.

· Cost Analysis:

Perform detailed quantity take-offs and develop pricing schedules.

About the Role:

Summary The Field Service Technician performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, onsite bolting, heat treating and/or field machining. Completes any and all tasks assigned by the Field Supervisor to meet goals of increased efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This is a fast-paced position that handles multiple pump projects for the oil and gas industry simultaneously. The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for the following:

· Develop shop work orders for new and repaired pump components in compliance with the Hydro quality program and internal process control procedures.

· Develop material purchasing requisitions with required technical requirements.

· Upon receipt of Non-Conformance Report from Engineering, QA or Operations you will be responsible for releasing a new travelers requisition in a timely manner.

· Complete Engineering Change Notices when the drawings are changed or revised.

· Reference engineering drawings, weld procedures, work scopes, vendor quotes, and customer specifications to create work orders and requisitions.

· Manage a variety of pump projects, such as: new pump repairs, new parts orders, repairs and engineering service orders

· Effectively organize open projects and demonstrate continual follow-through to completion.

· Interact with shop, engineering, quality assurance, contracts engineering personnel to ensure the customer, design and quality program requirements are included in shop work orders.

· Work with shop foremen, machinists, welders, mechanics on executing work orders for the manufacturing and repair of components.

· Coordinate as required with internal groups including purchasing, quality control, sales, production, accounting personnel, metal finishing, and assembly.

· Ability to multi-task and manage multiple open jobs at once, working closely with shop, production, QA.

· Keep supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.

· Use Epicor ERP system to generate documentation.

· Use SolidWorks when needed.

SUMMARY

The Tankerman is directly responsible and accountable to the Master or his relief, working directly under him and following his instruction(s) The Tankerman/ Person is responsible for all barge(s) loading and unloading(s).

It is the duty of the Tankerman/ Person to oversee cargo transfer operations which are covered by extensive laws and regulations of the U.S. Coast Guard and other federal and local government agencies. The objective of the Tankerman/ Person is safe, pollution-free and efficient cargo movements and transfers and to the safety of the environment and to the public.

The Tankerman/ Person is primary accountable for his own health, safety, and cleanliness. He must be familiar with Martin Marine - SMS-Safety Management System , VRP- Vessel Response Policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations, and must abide by them at all times.

The Tankerman/ Person are responsible for the safety, operational, maintenance and housekeeping duties while serving on a Martin vessel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational

a) Making up the tow

b) Dropping, spotting and switching barges at docks;

c) Assisting and switching barges at docks;

d) Standing lookout, or riding the head of the tow as a lookout; and,

e) Performing the various tasks necessary to carry out the above, such as making a coupling, operating winches and ratchets, and line handling, include splicing and throwing lines.

f) Confirming with and receiving orders from the Captain, Relief Captain, Mate

g) Being familiar enough to work with complex pumping diagrams, pumps, valves, etc.

h) Moving cargo from one compartment to another within the barges

i) Loading cargo to proper barge draft

Maintenance Duties

a) Chipping and painting vessel and tow;

b) Maintain engine room watch, Grease winches, and other moving parts, oil and lube changes

c) Maintenance of machinery on vessel and barge(s) (pumps, pump engines ETC..)

d) Painting draft marks (Vessel, Barge)

Housekeeping Duties

a) Cleaning the vessel;

b) Cleaning quarters, including personal quarters;

c) Cleaning the wheelhouse and galley;

d) Cleaning the lavatories and companionways;

e) Share in cooking and galley clean up

f) Performing other cleaning chores as directed by the Master

Safety Duties

a) Reporting any hazardous or unsafe condition to the Master and making \"on-the-spot\" corrections when capable

b) Familiar with all paperwork relating to; Barge Inspections, Reports and Cargo Transfers

c) Other duties as directed by the Master or his relief

d) Responding in a safe, efficient manner to mitigate pollution or damage in any shipboard emergency such as hatch overflow or holes in the barge

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School or Equivalent, skilled related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Tankerman is required to be coast guard certified to conduct necessary transfers of the various liquid cargoes handled by Martin Marine. The Tankerman must be able to demonstrate the special handle loading and discharging of cargo and fuels. On the job training, experience and the ability to read and understand the tankerman manual are all necessary requirements.

* Must obtain a U.S.C.G./MMC-MMD PIC-DL/LG (Dangerous Liquids/Liquified Gas, Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

* Must be able to work 2 for 1 schedules 14-7, 20-10, 28-14, on a vessel

* Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention to detail(s) and follow work rules

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

a) 5 to10 year of continuous Towing and Tankering experience,

SUMMARY

As a Mechanic (Class B), this position is responsible for repairing and maintaining company-owned equipment. The Mechanic is accountable for diagnosing issues and making necessary adjustments, repairs, or overhauls on various heavy machinery used in heavy civil, railroad, and marine construction.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and schedule regular maintenance for industrial machines and equipment. Maintain accurate equipment service records.
• Conduct planned maintenance by examining parts for damage or excessive use, repairing and replacing damaged or worn parts, cleaning, lubricating, assembling, and testing equipment to ensure operational efficiency. May install batteries and windows on specific equipment.
• Diagnose and examine faults or malfunctions in equipment to determine repairs using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized tests and calibration devices.
• Order materials and supplies needed for repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Test mechanical equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with the manufacturer’s specifications, which may include the assembly of gear systems, aligning frames and gears on heavy equipment, and/or fitting the proper bearings for mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Adjust and maintain industrial machinery using control and regulating devices.
• Perform general facility maintenance and clean-up tasks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Must possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) or be willing/eligible to obtain one upon hire. Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Experience: Five (5) years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, hydraulic cranes, and friction cranes.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA): Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers. Must possess the ability to read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings. Proficient in the use of computer diagnostic equipment and software. Must provide tools required to work on cranes and heavy equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: Seven (7) years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, hydraulic cranes, and friction cranes.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA): General knowledge and skills in marine operations, such as pile driving, welding, crane operations, barges, etc. General knowledge and understanding of basic construction terms and concepts.
