Weld components using heliarc, TIG, and GTAW welding equipment in accordance with blueprints, welding diagrams, and operation sheets. Ensure work is accomplished with high quality, in a timely fashion, and is compliant with all company, city, state, and federal regulations.
This is a 2nd shift position with the following hours: Monday-Friday; 3:00 PM-11:00 PM (Weekend overtime may be required)
What You Will Do:
- Set Up and Operate Welding Equipment: Position parts in jigs or fixtures, select appropriate welding tools and materials, connect and activate gas flow, and set parameters for desired welds based on technical drawings and blueprints.
- Perform Welding Operations: Hold torches correctly, apply filler rods, and execute various welds, including specific types such as Clamp-to-Tube and Bracket-to-Tube, on materials like nitronics, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Inspect and Repair Welds: Examine welds for quality, grind off excess slag, clean parts, and repair welds based on rejection sheets and X-ray film analysis.
- Follow Safety and Compliance Standards: Adhere to company rules and regulations, including Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, and International Trade Compliance; maintain a clean work area.
- Support and Train: Assist in training other welders, plan and perform a variety of welding operations, interpret technical documents, and use computer-controlled welding equipment as needed.
- Must be available for overtime, including extended workdays and weekends.
What You Will Learn:

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
- 1+ years of welding experience.
