Requirements
- Minimum of three professional references

Role Description

LHH is partnering with a growing food and beverage manufacturer in South Jersey to identify a Quality Assurance professional to support plant operations and uphold the highest product quality and food safety standards. This role reports to the QA Manager and plays a key part in driving compliance, process improvement, and team leadership within a fast-paced production environment focused on beverage and sauce manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily QA/QC activities to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards
- Conduct plant audits, documentation reviews, and internal inspections (including Glass & Brittle Plastic audits)
- Support internal and external audits (SQF, customer, regulatory)
- Investigate quality issues and partner with Production to implement corrective actions
- Manage product holds, rework processes, and finished goods evaluations
- Perform and review analytical testing on raw materials and finished products
- Train and mentor QA staff and production employees on quality and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate QA documentation, non-conformance reports, and complaint investigations
- Assist in managing calibration, equipment troubleshooting, and facility inspections
- Provide leadership support to the QA team, including scheduling, coaching, and performance oversight
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Agriculture, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive QA leadership experience within food manufacturing
- Certifications required: HACCP and PCQI (BPC or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Strong knowledge of processing/canning operations and quality systems
- Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
