We are seeking an experienced Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain to lead all procurement, category management, and inventory strategy across the business.

- Own purchasing strategy across all grocery and related categories, including dry goods, specialty imports, frozen, dairy, beverage, and private label.

- Hire, train, and develop future buyers or category managers as the business scales.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in grocery procurement, category management, or supply chain leadership.
- Experience in a $50M+ grocery or specialty retail environment.
- Proven success managing multi-category purchasing and vendor negotiations.
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated impact on margin and inventory turns.
- Advanced Excel and ERP / inventory system proficiency.
- Experience with retailers such as H-E-B, Central Market, Sprouts, Whole Foods, Costco, or similar.

- Investigate automobile accidents to determine the cause and liability, including reviewing police reports and conducting interviews with witnesses in some cases.
- Analysing insurance policies and relevant laws and regulations to determine the scope of coverage related to automobile accidents.
- Negotiate repairs and settlements with claimants.

- Track and analyze budget performance, prepare variance reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee the procurement process from initiation to contract completion for all Operations departments (Customer Care, Customer Service, IT, and Operations).
- Serve as the primary liaison with the Procurement Department, ensuring timely and accurate specifications and documentation.
- Monitor active vendor contracts, including service levels, budget spend, and consultant allocations.
- Develop and document standardized processes and reporting requirements for procurement and budgetary activities.
- Provide training and guidance to Operations teams on compliance with procurement and financial procedures.
- Prepare and manage Board of Directors agenda forecasts, presentations, and supporting documentation.

Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Analytics, Information Technology, Engineering, Management, or a related discipline; alternatively, a minimum of six years of related work experience.
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics, operations, or business intelligence, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- 5–7 years of program and project controls experience.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Strong ability to collaborate across all organizational levels to resolve complex issues.
