Experienced Project Estimator who manages construction budgeting and bidding for a wide range of project types and sizes. Interact daily with subcontractors, client consultants and the project team to ensure a clear understanding of a project’s objectives and schedule.
Responsible for value engineering, budget controls, alternative and comparative studies and constructability reviews. Responsible to ensure that estimates, bids and GMP’s are complete, accurate, and well supported by recent pricing data and subcontractor input.
Working as part of the Estimating team and capable of managing projects independently.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Project Preconstruction and Construction Teams in estimating functions throughout preconstruction and construction phases.
- Coordinate trade partner bid lists with procurement for budget pricing and bidding.
- Lead review meetings with owner, architect, and project consultants.
- Prepare comparison analysis to previous estimates and develop clear and concise messages to explain variances for each project stakeholder.
- Manage distribution of current design documents for trade partner budgeting and bidding; ensure account for sufficient trade partner input.
- Review design documents for completion; assemble comments and requests for additional information needed to provide complete estimates.
- Visit project sites to evaluate existing conditions, identify and capture scope not included in design documents.
- Support Project Manager in set-up of estimate, estimate schedule, and responsibility matrix.
- Perform quantity take-off, analysis, estimate, and studies for assigned trades and building systems.
- Provide pricing for value engineering, alternates, options, and special studies.
- Utilize Building Information Models (BIM) for quantity take-off and visualization to support complete estimate preparation.
- Prepare trade partner bid proposal forms and bid recording sheets for assigned trades, evaluate trade partner input for scope inclusion, and identify scope gaps and overlaps, coordinate with other staff managing trades.
- Ensure complete and accurate pricing within estimate or Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), reflect recent pricing data and trade partner bids or budgets.
- Participate in estimate review meetings with internal stakeholders to validate estimate prior to client delivery
- Lead coordination of operational input during estimating, bidding, and GMP process; ensure estimate incorporates detailed General Conditions/Requirement (GC/GRs) study and site logistics and Building LIFE as prepared by Operations.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Cost Engineering or similar.
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Estimating in the New York Construction Industry.
· Building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, trade practices knowledge
· Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
· Extensive knowledge of estimating documents and ability to provide accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis of documents
· Conceptual ability, able to work with minimum information and quickly develop understanding of owner/architect requirements
· Project management of competing demands, and meet established deadlines
· Professional verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $90,360 to $110,440 annually. Title and compensation will be determined based on experience and may align to either the Project Developer or Senior Project Developer level. The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of maslansky + partners in New York City. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $220,000. In addition, this position is also eligible for an annual sales incentive.

Required Qualifications

- Advanced quantitative analysis, modeling, and synthesis skill: Experience building advanced Excel/Sheets models, validating assumptions, and translating data into clear recommendations. Comfortable with business intelligence tools and pressure-testing outputs. SQL is a strong plus.
- Excellent project management toolkit: Ability to develop project plans, manage dependencies, and land milestones on time with clear accountability.

What you'll do
As a Tax Senior within the Business Tax Services group, you will provide federal tax consulting and compliance services to a diverse client base in various industry sectors. - Maintaining and developing strong client relationships on various federal tax consulting/compliance engagements.

Qualifications
Required
- Language fluency in Japanese and English (both written and verbal)
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
- 5+ years' experience in federal taxation, preparation and review experience of federal tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or other business-related field
- One of the following accreditations obtained or willing to obtain:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA exam

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $71,610 to $151,580.

The Gateway Program is the most urgent infrastructure program in the country a comprehensive set of rail investments that will improve commuter and intercity services, add needed resiliency and, in its later stages, create new capacity between Newark, New Jersey and New York City, the busiest section of the Northeast Corridor (NEC). The first phase of the Gateway Program includes the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP), which includes the construction of a new two-track tunnel under the Hudson River connecting to Penn Station New York as well as the full rehabilitation of the existing 110-year-old North River Tunnel. The Gateway Development Commission (GDC), established through bi-state legislation, is responsible for the financing and development of the Hudson Tunnel Project.
As a tri-venture partner with Parsons, Arcadis, and Mace (MPA) is the Delivery Partners (DP) to provide advice, leadership, and support to GDC for the development and implementation of HTP. This is a master service with task order contracts for a 15-year contract encompassing a broad range of strategic advisory services, project management, design management, construction management, stakeholder coordination, federal compliance, operations support, office administration, and related services.
POSITION OVERVIEW: Develops, manages, and/or executes all phases of the project controls effort (mainly cost management and reporting). Typically manages large-sized projects. The incumbent utilizes widely diversified knowledge of project controls activities, and draws upon extensive experience and exposure to various types of projects and clients.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the cost management and reporting functions on a large construction development program.
- Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to project for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems.

- Manages a team of Project Control Engineers/Specialists who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs, as well as performance against an established schedule with critical milestones.

About the Role
The General Counsel is the head of Syncarpha Capital’s legal department and is responsible for all legal affairs of the company, including, but not limited to, transactional, governance, and compliance matters. This role involves providing legal counsel to all departments within the organization. In managing the legal department, the General Counsel will have direct reports and will report to the CEO.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Syncarpha’s legal risk and cost across all aspects of our business - development, construction and permanent financing, tax equity investment/sale of Investment Tax Credits, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), asset management, human resources, and compliance - while executing our business strategy.
- Develop, implement, and manage Syncarpha’s compliance program.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and close contracts, including:
- Real estate: lease and purchase options and closings, title insurance policies, etc.
- Project finance documentation
- Entity formation and tax equity investment
- EPC: turnkey EPC, equipment procurement, engineering services, etc.
- Wide array of supporting services agreements to our business: engineering, general consulting, framework agreements, etc.
- Provide strategic insight and guidance to Senior Management team.
- Grow and manage Syncarpha’s legal department.
- Implement and manage Syncarpha’s standard contract language into our contracts in high-risk areas of: human rights, business integrity, etc.
- Engage and manage outside counsel for additional legal support with a cost effective and risk mitigated approach (e.g., M&A, real estate, permitting).
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an American Bar Association accredited law school
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above.
- Member of the New York State Bar, or member in good standing of the State Bar of another state.
- Strong track record of managing attorneys and legal staff.
- Prior General Counsel in-house role experience preferred.
- Proven experience in (i) construction law and project finance, preferable in each instance in the solar energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of power generation, land permitting, power purchase agreements, letters of intent, requests for proposals, and liability issues in an electrical construction environment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
