Overview
A well-established civil contractor is seeking a Chief Estimator to lead estimating and preconstruction efforts across water/wastewater, underground utilities, and related civil infrastructure projects throughout Texas. This role will have full ownership of bid strategy, pricing accuracy, and team leadership, partnering closely with operations and executive leadership to support growth and margin objectives.
The ideal candidate brings deep estimating leadership experience within WWTP, underground utilities, or similar heavy civil scopes, and is comfortable managing complex pursuits from concept through final proposal.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all estimating and preconstruction activities for water/wastewater plants, underground utilities, pump stations, lift stations, and civil infrastructure projects
- Establish bid strategies, review risk profiles, and drive accurate, competitive pricing aligned with company margin targets
- Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates, takeoffs, schedules, and subcontractor scopes
- Manage, mentor, and develop estimators and preconstruction staff
- Coordinate with operations, project management, and field leadership to ensure constructability and cost alignment
- Lead subcontractor and vendor outreach, scope reviews, and bid leveling
- Participate in executive‑level go/no‑go decisions and long‑range preconstruction planning
- Support client presentations, value engineering, and alternative delivery discussions as needed
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of estimating experience within civil construction, with proven leadership at a senior or chief level
- Strong background in WWTP, underground utilities, or closely related civil infrastructure projects
- Experience estimating projects ranging from $10M+ in value
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, set standards, and improve estimating processes
- Strong understanding of civil means and methods, risk management, and cost drivers
- Proficiency with estimating and preconstruction tools such as HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Excel, WinEst, Procore, and scheduling software (P6 or MS Project)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage executives, clients, and project teams
Preferred Experience
- Texas market experience (municipal, county, or utility district work)
- Design‑build, CMAR, or alternative delivery exposure
- Background collaborating closely with operations on self‑perform scopes

The Technical Support Specialist will serve as a key point of contact for distributors, engineers, and end users by providing remote troubleshooting, answering technical inquiries, and assisting with system installation and configuration questions. The role requires strong analytical problem-solving skills, hands-on familiarity with GC/MS instrumentation, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to customers. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide remote technical support to customers, distributor partners, and field engineers via email and phone for analytical instrumentation systems
- Troubleshoot hardware, configuration, and analytical performance issues related to pyrolysis-GC/MS systems and associated accessories
- Assist customers and distributor engineers with system installation, configuration, and operational troubleshooting during and after instrument setup
- Answer technical inquiries related to instrument components, part numbers, consumables, software licenses, and system configurations
- Support instruments integrated with major GC/MS platforms such as Agilent, Shimadzu, Thermo Fisher Scientific, JEOL, and SCION
- Provide guidance on gas chromatography (GC) and mass spectrometry (MS) system operation, including gas line configurations, hardware compatibility, and instrument performance
- Assist with interpreting GC/MS data outputs and mass spectral results, helping customers diagnose analytical issues and optimize instrument performance
- Work with distributor engineers who may be onsite with customers during installations or service calls, providing real-time troubleshooting and technical guidance
- Develop a strong working knowledge of pyrolysis-based analytical techniques and how the company’s instrumentation integrates with GC/MS systems used in polymer, environmental, forensic, and materials science applications
- Assist with technical training sessions, product demonstrations, and trade show support as needed
- Maintain detailed documentation of customer support activities, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions
Additional Information:
Years of Experience: 1–5+ years of experience with GC/MS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific field
Shift/Travel: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST (flexibility required depending on workload)
- Travel may include: Up to ~25% domestic travel and occasional international travel
Compensation: $26-32/hr depending on experience

Job Summary
Collaborates with the physician and healthcare team in the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process. Minimum Qualifications

Responsibilities
Provide overnight, in-house OB/GYN coverage for Labor & Delivery, obstetric triage, and emergency gynecologic care
Manage laboring patients, obstetric emergencies, and unassigned patients during night shifts
Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections as clinically indicated
Collaborate closely with nursing staff, anesthesia, neonatology, and daytime OB/GYN teams to ensure continuity of care
Supervise and support OB/GYN residents during overnight shifts, as applicable
Participate in quality and safety initiatives related to obstetric care
Night shifts are structured and scheduled to support work-life balance; weekend and holiday coverage included per nocturnist schedule
