DESCRIPTION
The Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) is seeking an Associate Project Manager (APM) to support major, multi-stakeholder research partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including biopharmaceutical companies, nonprofit healthcare organizations, government agencies, and academic scientists. The APM will work closely with scientific and technical leads to support the day-to-day management and coordination of high-impact translational science research initiatives.
This is an early-career role for individuals with a strong scientific or research background who are interested in building a career in project and program management within public–private partnerships. Positions at FNIH offer unique exposure across disciplines, sectors, and stakeholders, as the organization operates at the intersection of government, academia, industry, and nonprofit research. Work will be conducted under the supervision of multiple senior Project Managers in a hybrid work environment, with time spent both virtually and at the FNIH offices located in North Bethesda, Maryland.
This role is a non-research, associate project management position that supports the planning, coordination, and execution of complex biomedical initiatives. It requires strong interpersonal and written communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, high attention to detail, sound judgment, and diplomacy, along with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a highly collaborative environment. Familiarity with biomedical research settings is essential.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the APM will work under the supervision of senior Project Managers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support large-scale, multi-stakeholder neuroscience research initiatives, including Accelerating Medicines Partnership (AMP) programs (e.g., Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and Schizophrenia).
- Work closely with Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to support day-to-day project coordination, governance activities, and operational execution.
- Prepare, format, and quality-check meeting materials, including agendas, slide decks, meeting minutes, summaries, and follow-up documentation.
- Schedule meetings and coordinate meeting logistics using Microsoft Teams and Outlook calendars; track action items, decisions, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
- Maintain a well-organized project documentation, trackers, and centralized repositories to support governance, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with scientific and operational project activities, including tracking research milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
- Support coordination among industry, academic, nonprofit, and government partners in a matrixed environment without direct reporting authority.
- Assist with vendor coordination, budget tracking, invoicing, and contract-related documentation.
- Draft and edit high-quality written materials, including meeting notes, scientific progress reports, manuscripts, presentations, newsletters, website updates, and external communications.
- Develop clear, professional PowerPoint presentations that synthesize complex scientific and operational information for leadership and external stakeholders.
- Gradually assume increased ownership of defined workstreams, with the expectation of independently leading small meetings within approximately one year.
- This is a developmental role designed to prepare individuals for advancement into higher-level project management roles at FNIH.

Primary Purpose
An experienced role, responsible for leading the assigned proposal team in the development of high quality, compliant and timely proposals for the U.S. government and other organizations conducting biomedical research including clinical trial. The Proposal Manager uses Emmes' proposal process, tools, and corporate policies to plan, manage, and contribute to all stages of the development of proposals with a high degree of professionalism and collaboration. Works alongside the Proposal Department leadership and other team members to refine processes and tools, evolve our services, and win opportunities to conduct research or the IT systems that support research that improves public health and impacts lives.
Responsibilities
- Manage proposal response teams of varying sizes, comprised of BD, solution leads, SMES, and members of the pricing team, to complete a structured response addressing all client requirements, meets capture strategy, and is submitted on time
- Work with the Government BD and Capture teams to support Emmes' capture efforts, understand the messaging strategy established in the capture phase and establish a proposal plan that adheres to the win strategy and messaging established by the team; review draft and provide feedback on how the goals, issues, features, benefits, and proofs have cascaded through the response
- Shred solicitation requirements to develop response plans that follow Emmes' proposal development and review process for government and non-government solicitations.
- Work with the proposal teams and appropriate leadership to identify, mitigate, and resolve issues, questions, and challenges surrounding the proposal
- Organize, write, edit, and format proposals consistent with client response instructions using Emmes templates, providing first draft responses using the content library and creating content as needed
- Provide ongoing proposal content support including editing of SME-provided content, consistent formatting, logical copy flow and single tone of voice
- When partners, vendors, or subcontractors are included in the strategy, ensure these third parties understand content needs and associated deadlines, and resolve associated issues as needed to move the proposal process forward

- Contribute to the content management of the proposal re-use library text, graphics, and templates, including the use of tools, e.g., GovDash or Responsive

Qualifications

- Experience with CRO or IT proposals, preferred

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Real Estate Account Executive with a background in sales or real estate to join our client’s growing team. This role is ideal for HUNTERS who excel at uncovering their own leads and establishing. As an Account Executive / Commercial Loan Officer, you’ll work independently to identify new clients, provide financing solutions, and close deals. No prior experience in commercial lending is required—if you have a proven track record in sales or real estate, we will provide the training you need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively source and develop new client relationships with real estate agents, investors, developers, and builders.
- Build and manage a book of business through lead generation, networking, and referrals.
- Learn and apply lending principles to analyze loan opportunities and present viable solutions to clients.
- Structure and negotiate loan terms, ensuring they meet both the client’s needs and the company’s policies.
- Collaborate with the underwriting and processing teams to ensure a smooth and efficient loan process.
- Stay informed about market trends, real estate developments, and financing products.
Qualifications:
- 2+ year of experience in a sales role focused on client acquisition
- Passion for the real estate industry and an interest in helping clients succeed with creative financing solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a production-based sales environment.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, independent, and eager to learn about commercial lending and real estate financing.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
