Position Summary
Responsible for leading the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring compliance with aerospace, defense, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Engineer – Process Planning
Compensation: up to $115,000
Reports to: Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Role Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer supports the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for high‑precision products. This role is central to improving efficiency, enhancing product quality, and ensuring production targets are consistently met. The engineer collaborates across departments—including Design Engineering, Quality, Operations, and the shop floor—to strengthen product flow, maintain documentation accuracy, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Process & Design Review
- Evaluate product designs for manufacturability, appropriate tolerances, quality requirements, and cost‑impacting features.
- Define the complete manufacturing process for components and assemblies, ensuring alignment with production capabilities.
- Determine fixture and gage requirements for new parts and either design or source the necessary tooling.
Documentation & Systems
- Create and maintain manufacturing routes and bills of material within the ERP system.
- Review Engineering Change Orders and update process documentation accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date process instructions, tooling documentation, and related technical records.
Collaboration & Problem Solving
- Work closely with manufacturing engineers, design engineers, quality personnel, supervisors, and machine operators to maximize productivity and product quality.
- Participate in root‑cause investigations and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance throughput, reduce waste, and improve consistency.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Experience with CNC machining, including work‑holding principles and machining fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of general machine shop practices and measurement techniques.
- Proficiency with CAD/solid modeling tools and familiarity with engineering drawings, GD&T, and dimensioning standards.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems for routing, BOM creation, and documentation control.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently, think creatively, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Implement educational and behavioral programs based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for students with disabilities who exhibit significant and challenging behaviors.
- Support students in developing skills across areas including social interactions, academics (reading and math), communication, self-care, and vocational skills.
- Provide 1:1 or small group instruction in school, community, and possibly home settings, always maintaining 100% visual surveillance and strict adherence to safety protocols, including bolting and lost child procedures.
- Collect and graph treatment data daily to monitor progress and collaborate with BCBAs and special educators to evaluate and adjust programming as needed.
- Offer hands-on support for activities of daily living, including toileting and personal hygiene, to reinforce positive behaviors and reduce interfering behaviors using reinforcement strategies.
- Use highly structured, individualized treatment programs developed by behavioral specialists to teach and generalize new skills.
- Handle and respond appropriately to significant acting-out behaviors, which may include aggression (e.g., biting, hitting) or self-injurious behaviors (e.g., head banging, skin picking), following behavior intervention plans with fidelity.
- Reinforce positive behaviors and use evidence-based interventions to decrease problematic behaviors, under the supervision of a BCBA.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with special needs, particularly those with autism.
- Ability to follow structured behavior plans and support team collaboration.
- Experience supporting students in a therapeutic program.

Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ability to autonomously formulate a business plan in coordination with the Residential Vertical and execute all assigned investments involving development being performed directly and passively with oversight responsibilities.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with an ability to oversee team member(s) in the department; completion of tasks, meeting goals, and clear communication.
- Manage the deployment of internal personnel and outside consultants to ensure approved business plans are achieved.
- Improve and implement standard operating procedures relating to project management and reporting.
- Actively participate and contribute on acquisition decisions relating to projects that involve development components and provide support to the firm in assessing the feasibility of new project opportunities.
- Manage the development process from feasibility analysis to final completion including: site acquisition; planning, value engineering, design, and engineering; permitting; financing; marketing and leasing; and construction.
- Assemble, negotiate contracts, and coordinate the project team including: legal counsel; architects and engineers; consultants, general contractors; and other requisite development team members.
- Act as owner’s representative at all government and project related public meetings.
- Strong ability to coordinate programming and design of every aspect of the project including schematic, design development, and construction documents.
- Develop pro-formas, financial sensitivity analysis, budget projections, and critical path schedules.
- Communicate and consult with key internal team members in a regular and timely fashion on project progress, budget, and key issues in accordance with approved business plans.
- Oversee permitting and engineering for related off-site municipal improvements such as roadways and water/sewage improvement.
- Evaluate environmental issues and develop the proper solutions to address them.
- Maintain and cultivate relationships with JV partners and investors and lenders, including marketing development projects to financial partners.
- Represent the Company in the real estate community with respect to business development and other matters.

Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in real estate (including residential, retail, and/or hospitality), development and construction.
- Travel is expected to be minimal and will occur primarily on an as-needed basis for project or development activities outside of the Boston area.
- An advanced degree in real estate, engineering, construction, or related field.
- Strong experience in all aspects of the development process including planning, permitting, design, construction and finance.
- Proven ability to establish effective relationships with town officials, planning boards and neighborhood groups.
- Demonstrated development track record.
- Effective verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of state and local politics and permitting procedures.
- Detail oriented with the ability to read, interpret, and modify plans.
- Prior experience in managing an external team.
- A team-oriented professional with creativity, initiative, and the breadth of real estate development experience.

& BENEFITS: Base Salary Range: $210,000- $225,000
