We are looking for a Field Engineer that ideally has previous linear water rehabilitation experience i.e. sewers. This will be an onsite role for a sewer rehabilitation project for a utility client in Boston. They will be providing Owner's rep services and be reviewing drawings, RFI's, etc. to provide technical support out in the field to the main contractors out in the field. This person will coordinate back with the design engineer office to determine if changes need to be made.

Provide subcontractors with information and direction, as outlined within contract specifications, to allow the work to proceed as scheduled. Authority to interpret technical requirements and provide solutions in conjunction with discipline Project Department Engineer and Discipline Superintendent, to provide drawings and data, and to direct work as assigned and consistent with Company's contractual commitments. May perform subcontract administration of discipline specific or assigned procurements. Interprets and administers fundamental commercial issues. Position may transition to assistant superintendent or startup engineering role. May perform in an EPC environment where Company is either solely responsible or in a Joint Venture/Consortium with others. Provides technical direction/interpretation of design drawings and specification requirements, as well as general guidance to subcontractors on overall design. May perform fundamental design checks and re-design in the field without supervision. Provides commercial direction, interpretation of subcontracts, and administers discipline specific or assigned contract requirements in coordination with Field. Subcontract Administrator or Procurement Manager. Reviews, maintains records, and responds to Contractor Information. Requests (CIRs) as assigned. Job Title: Associate Ingredient Scientist

Duration: 9 months

Location: Burlington, MA 01803

The Associate Ingredient Scientist will be working in a fast paced cross-functional environment to develop ingredient specifications that are accurate, as well as collect critical documents to make sure all our ingredients meet the required FDA standards.

Position Accountabilities

1. Understand basics of raw materials, and their application in beverages

2. Lead projects that impact ingredients, such as new supplier requirement updates, cost savings initiatives, supply issues or production challenges

3. Provide training to the broader cross functional partners as needed

4. Follow SOP and enter the required ingredient data in the database accurately

5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory work if the ingredient is analyzed internally

6. Work together effectively with Product Development and other functions of R&D such as Sensory, Ingredients, Nutrition, Regulatory, Flavor Technology, Process Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology

7. Collaborate cross functionally with groups outside of R&D such as Quality and Procurement

8. Develop/ Update SOPs and training for job function as needed

9. Effectively communicate with vendors to obtain required documents in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Minimum of B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or allied field

• 1-3 years of experience in a related function within food/beverage (R&D, Quality) or CPG internship

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Good written and oral communication skills.

• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Word

• Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety or tools and equipment
  
• Collect materials and equipment needed to begin assembly process
  
• Perform inspections and measure parts using basic measuring tools
  
• Achieve applied and earned production rates to standard and communicate issues that could cause unfavorable rates
  
• Perform basic preventative maintenance, as trained, for required tools and equipment
  
• Document actions by completing required production documentation, both written and electronic
  
• Working as part of team, accomplish department goals
  
• Adhere to company safety requirements and wear PPE as directed / required
  
• Read, interpret and follow detailed instruction to complete the highest quality product
  
• Other duties may be assigned as business needs dictate

• High School Diploma or GED required
  
• 1-2 years of mechanical assembly experience is preferred
  
• Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100 standards for quality control preferred
  
• Strong technical, mechanical, and or electrical aptitude
  
• Fine motor skills, and the ability to work with small parts and components
  
• Effective and professional communication skills (verbal and written) and highly organized
