Product Manager / Senior Product Manager
✦ New
Salary not disclosed
Los Angeles, CA 14 hours ago
About the job

We are hiring a senior product manager with 5-10 years of experience. This is our first PM hire: you'll work directly with the CEO/Head of Product and be an integral part of how we build.

Solin: The largest marketplace for fitness programs & challenges from creators. We also have a consumer subscription offering (similar to Amazon Prime's subscription) that incorporates AI-personalized nutrition + platform benefits.

Our mission is to make the world a healthier place. We're growing fast, and we're looking to add a product manager to accelerate our product.

Role

Three traits are incredibly important for this role:

  • High-ownership execution: You can independently take a feature from loose problem definition to polished, production-ready feature with strong specs, clear rationale, and thorough edge-case coverage. You also must incorporate feedback quickly: this includes feedback for yourself/role and feedback on our product.
  • Detail-oriented: You must have attention to detail.
  • Sharp product instincts grounded in data: You have strong intuition for what will move users and you back it up with data.

Project Snapshots

Recent advances in AI have expanded what's possible with our product and are a primary focus. Examples of recent projects you would have been involved with:

  • AI Powered & fully featured macro tracker that fit into our consumer subscription
  • Functionality for our AI nutrition agent that enables users to customize high-protein meal plans
  • Integrating AI into our creator onboarding flow to decrease friction and time to launch

Product team & approach

  • Our product approach is focused, fast, and opinionated. We prioritize retention and daily engagement.
  • 90% of your work will be in our app; ~10% will be mobile and desktop browser
  • We prefer to learn quickly through idea iteration and testing new concepts vs. excessive amounts of customer calls or data analysis, fully built-out prototypes, etc. (we do these things, but in moderation)

A bit more

  • Ideally you have a passion for wellness and fitness to align with our mission (make the world a healthier place)
  • Unlimited PTO (just needs to get OK’d by team) + fully covered healthcare (most companies deduct a portion of healthcare premiums from your paycheck - we don’t - we cover it all).

Requirements

  • 5-10 years owning product execution working with design and engineering (mobile-first preferred)
  • Desire and ability to push product fast is necessary. Our pace of iteration will determine our success.
  • Incredibly detail-oriented
  • Experience owning features end-to-end: discovery → scoping → spec → ship → measure
  • Comfortable with data: you can pull your own metrics, run cohort analysis, and design experiments
  • Experience with subscription, habit-forming, or health/fitness products is a strong plus
  • Willingness to work with AI is a must

We are in-office Mon-Fri 8:45a-6pm (our office is on Abbot Kinney in Venice). No exceptions.

Compensation for this role is $130k-$220k depending on your fit and experience.

The product manager we hire is going to join an incredible and growing team. This role comes with real ownership: you’ll be trusted to work autonomously, and as you prove you’re ready, you’ll earn more autonomy. We value great execution and thoughtful, creative solutions. This is hard work, but it's deeply rewarding.

AI Solutions Engineer
Salary not disclosed
Richmond, VA 6 days ago

About This Role

This isn't a traditional engineering role where you'll receive detailed specifications and build to order. We're looking for someone who digs into problems firsthand—someone who asks "why" until they truly understand what's broken, then builds the solution themselves.

If you've ever been frustrated by the gap between people who understand the customer and people who can build technology, this role exists because we share that frustration. We want someone who can do both.

What You'll Do

You'll use AI tools—particularly Claude Code and the Claude platform—to build solutions that solve real problems in mortgage lending. Not proofs of concept. Real tools that people use every day.

Examples of problems you might tackle:

  • Loan conditions arrive from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, VA, and FHA in different formats. Loan officers spend hours reconciling them. Build something that consolidates and deduplicates them automatically.
  • Underwriters spend significant time on tasks that could be automated, but "that's how it's always been done." Identify which tasks, understand why, and build the automation.
  • Compliance requirements evolve constantly. Build systems that can adapt without requiring lengthy development cycles.

You won't always be handed a clear spec. You'll often be handed a problem—sometimes a vague one—and expected to dig in until you understand it well enough to solve it.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • You can build working software. You don't need a team of engineers to ship something useful. Claude Code, Python, JavaScript, APIs—you're comfortable getting hands-on.
  • You go deep on problems. When someone says "we need a dashboard," you ask what decision they're trying to make. When they say "it takes too long," you ask how long, why, and what happens as a result.
  • You're persistent. You don't hear "that's not possible" and stop there. You get curious and look for another way.
  • You communicate well across audiences. Executives, loan officers, underwriters, compliance teams—you can work with all of them effectively.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience in mortgage lending, financial services, or another regulated industry
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar)
  • Background that spans both business and technical work—perhaps you started in analysis and taught yourself to code, or you're an engineer who consistently finds yourself thinking about the customer problem

What matters most:

We care less about your pedigree and more about your ability to solve problems and work well with others while doing it.

Why This Role Exists

We're a 200-person mortgage lending organization, and we believe AI is going to fundamentally change how our industry operates—not by replacing people, but by making our people dramatically more effective.

We're moving away from the traditional model where business teams write requirements, hand them to engineers, and hope the result matches the intent. We want to build a team of people who can understand the problem deeply and build the solution directly. Fewer handoffs. Faster iteration. Better outcomes.

If that resonates with you, we'd like to talk.

How To Apply

Please send:

  1. Your resume
  2. Something you've built — a link, screenshot, GitHub repo, or brief walkthrough. It doesn't need to be polished. We want to see how you approach problems.
  3. A short note (a few sentences) about a problem you investigated deeply and what you learned from it

Founding Design Engineer
🏢 Finta
Salary not disclosed
San Francisco, CA 1 week ago

About Finta

Have you tried renewing a driver’s license online? The site looks stuck in 2000, it is confusing and slow. That is how most accounting and tax software still feels. The space is crowded with sales teams who rely on fear to close deals, and the result is bad experiences justified by “compliance.”

Finta is changing that. We automate bookkeeping, file taxes quickly and compliantly, and give companies real-time financial metrics. Our goal is simple: to remove the manual, tedious parts of finance so that smart people can focus on hard problems.

We raised $2M from Y Combinator, Mercury’s CEO, leaders at Mercury, Brex, and Ramp. Since launching in 2023, we have grown organically through word of mouth and now serve hundreds of paying customers. See what they say at ’re looking for a Founding Design Engineer to raise the bar on how Finta looks and feels. You’ll sit at the intersection of design and engineering, someone who obsesses over animation curves, spacing, and interaction details, and also ships production code.

You won’t be designing in Figma and handing off specs. You’ll be designing in the browser, building the components and systems that make Finta feel like the best software our customers have ever used.

This is a founding role. You’ll be one of the first people shaping how Finta feels, and you’ll have an outsized impact on the product, the brand, and the culture of craft at the company. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to build and lead the design engineering function as we grow.

What you’ll do

  • Build and evolve Finta’s design system: the components, tokens, patterns, and motion language that everything is built on
  • Ship polished, production-ready UI across product, marketing, and our website
  • Create reusable building blocks like data tables, filters, navigation, loading states, animations, and interactive patterns
  • Bring modern interaction design to a Rails codebase with fluid transitions, micro-interactions, and the kind of craft you see in tools like Linear, Cursor, and Vercel
  • Explore what’s possible at the edge of UI in the age of AI: streaming interfaces, agent status patterns, real-time feedback, and new interaction paradigms
  • Work directly with the CEO and engineering team to shape what we build and how it feels
  • Set the quality bar for every pixel that ships
  • Influence product direction, not just execution. You’ll have a voice in what we build, not just how it looks.

You’ll be a good fit if you

  • Have deep expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You think in the browser, not in abstractions.
  • Have production experience with server-rendered stacks: Rails, Hotwire, Turbo, Stimulus, Tailwind, ViewComponent, or similar
  • Obsess over details like animation timing, easing curves, hover states, spacing, and color. The things most people don’t notice but everyone feels.
  • Use AI tools daily to move faster (Cursor, Claude, Conductor, or similar) and can show real examples of shipping with them
  • Have a strong visual eye and design sensibility, even if your title has always been “engineer”
  • Can point to work you’ve shipped that made people say “damn, this feels good”
  • Ship fast and iterate. You’d rather put something real in front of users than polish a mockup.
  • Are excited about being early. You want to define the standard, not follow one.

Why join

  • Design is at the heart of everything we do. This isn’t a company where engineering overrules design.
  • You’ll define the design system and quality bar from the ground up
  • Ship consequential work used by hundreds of startups
  • Join a small, mission-driven team that values craft and user experience
  • 10+ years of runway backed by top investors
  • Real ownership and influence over product direction, architecture, and early hiring decisions

You should NOT join Finta if:

  • You prefer designing in Figma and handing off to engineers
  • You think animations and micro-interactions are unnecessary polish
  • You think trying new tools like Paper is a waste of your time
  • You prefer non-AI tools and stay away from MCPs
  • You prefer heavy structure and narrow scope
  • You’re not excited about AI or what it means for product interfaces
  • You need step-by-step direction
  • You’re looking for a remote job to coast

Tools and stack

  • Ruby on Rails with server-rendered views
  • Hotwire (Turbo + Stimulus) for interactivity
  • Tailwind CSS and ViewComponent for the design system
  • GitHub, Linear, Figma, Paper, Slack
  • AI tools: Cursor, Claude, Conductor, and whatever you want to use

Our values

  • Simplicity: Be concise, clear, and efficient
  • Endurance: Act with integrity and think long term
  • Decisive: Bias for action and learn quickly
  • Passion: Bring dedication and energy to the work
  • Open minded: Hold strong opinions and question them rigorously
  • Selfless: Set egos aside and win as a team

Compensation

  • $120-$180k plus 1-3% equity
  • Visa sponsorship and relocation support available.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Meals, gym membership, professional education benefits
  • Monthly team events and annual company offsite
