Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• 
  
• Lead and govern design-related CAPA activities across the R&D organization, ensuring timely, compliant, and effective resolution of complex design, verification, validation, and product performance issues.
  
• Oversee and review root cause investigations using rigorous, data-driven problem-solving methodologies, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are appropriately scoped, risk-based, sustainable, and effectively linked to design controls, risk management, and product lifecycle processes.
  
• Ensure CAPA records and documentation are complete, accurate, and audit-ready, in compliance with FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and internal quality system requirements.
  
• Manage and develop the R&D CAPA team, including setting expectations, prioritizing
  
• workload, providing technical direction, and coaching CAPA specialists and engineers.
  
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to R&D engineers and CAPA owners on CAPA processes, best practices, timeline development, SOP adherence, and effectiveness verification planning.
  
• Serve as the primary R&D CAPA interface with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, and other cross-functional partners to address systemic and cross-product issues.
  
• Review and approve CAPA plans, timelines, effectiveness verification strategies, and closure rationales to ensure regulatory robustness and high-quality outcomes.
  
• Support internal and external audits, inspections, and assessments by providing CAPA documentation (e.g., CAPA storyboards), investigation rationale, and subject matter expertise.
  
• Act as a CAPA subject matter expert within the R&D organization, driving continuous improvement in CAPA execution quality and consistency.
  

Minimum Requirements

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
  
• 6+ years of experience in R&D within a medical device organization with at least 5 years of CAPA processes and regulatory compliance requirements (FDA, ISO 13485).
  
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
  
• Proven experience in managing CAPA for design and development activities
  

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• 
  
• Expert-level understanding of CAPA methodologies, root cause analysis tools (Fishbone, 5 Whys, FMEA), and risk management.
  
• Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to influence and drive accountability.
  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  
• Effective communication and presentation skills for all organizational levels.
  
• Experience with drafting statistically sound sampling plans & acceptance criteria for measuring Effectiveness of implemented actions.
  
• Proficiency in documentation and electronic CAPA systems, Trackwise preferred.
  
• Deep knowledge of medical device regulations and design control requirements.

Position Description

The client is hiring a Project Manager for our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business in Temple, TX. The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the Bradley A4E1 program management team, by managing vehicle and hardware deliveries on time and within budget. This position is full-time onsite at our facility in Temple, TX and reports to the Bradley A4E1 Program Manager. Location/Schedule/Travel: • This role is fulltime onsite in Temple, TX • The role works a 9/80 schedule where you will have every other Friday off • There may be up to 20% travel This Project Manager is accountable for all on-site program activities of the US Army Bradley post production integration efforts, including the following: Supporting the program to achieve cost/profitability, schedule, and technical performance objectives with a high level of customer satisfaction Establishing program direction and indirect management for the matrixed team executing the scope (Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Contracts, Finance and/or others) Effectively managing and integrating program complexities including multiple production elements Proactively planning for activities on the current contract. Actively and effectively managing risks and opportunities. Making timely and ethical decisions with sound judgment while complying with the contract, policies and procedures. Summary

The people and technology that power our Group business work in the Employee Benefit Solutions Technology (EBST) organization within Enterprise Technology. As a member of the Partner Data Exchange (PDX) team, you will help design, build, and support systems that enable how Securian exchanges critical employee and client data with internal platforms, external partners, and administrators.

PDX plays a key role in the end to end client experience by ensuring that eligibility, enrollment, and coverage data is accurate, timely, and reliable. The systems supported by this team directly influence how easily clients onboard, how effectively partners integrate, and how confidently downstream teams can serve our Employee Benefits Solutions (EBS) customers.

This role is well suited for an engineer who is eager to grow technical skills, learn complex domains, and contribute to high impact systems in a collaborative, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and support of systems that ingest, validate, transform, and distribute client and employee data
• Learn and apply best practices for building and consuming RESTbased APIs that support internal platforms and external partners
• Support both filebased and APIdriven data exchange solutions, with guidance from senior engineers
• Develop an understanding of how data quality, timeliness, and system behavior impact the client and administrator experience
• Assist with enhancements and defect resolution in existing systems, including batch processing and integrations
• Participate in production support activities and incident triage, using monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and other engineers to deliver incremental improvements aligned to business priorities
• Follow established engineering standards for code quality, testing, security, and deployment

Required Qualifications

• Experience developing software using Java and familiarity with Spring Boot or similar frameworks
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
• Exposure to batch processing, integrations, or applications that ingest and process large volumes of operational data
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and modern development workflows
• Willingness to learn and work within a complex domain involving customer and employee data
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, ask questions, and incorporate feedback through code reviews and collaboration
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrates accountability, curiosity, and a desire to grow technical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to relational databases such as SQL Server
