The Junior Account Manager supports the Business Development Representative responsible for the Airborne Market Sector. This is an entry-level, account management-focused role designed to offload high-volume customer interaction tasks from the BD Representative, enabling him to concentrate on strategic business development, opportunity pursuit, and long-range pipeline growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Management

• Manage bailment agreement paperwork, ensuring accurate documentation, proper routing for signatures, and compliant record retention
• Complete and submit customer-required vendor forms, compliance certifications, supplier questionnaires, and other administrative documentation on behalf of Viewpoint Systems
• Maintain organized records of all executed agreements and customer-required documents

Tradeshow Support

• Research and complete company registration requirements for relevant defense industry tradeshows and conferences
• Coordinate equipment logistics for tradeshow participation, including shipping, tracking, and confirmation of receipt for display products and demonstration units
• Assist the BD Representative in preparing materials and coordinating pre-show activities
• Support on-site tradeshow execution as needed, consistent with travel requirements of the role

BD Representative Administrative Support

• Book travel for the BD Representative, including flights, hotels, and ground transportation in accordance with company travel policy
• Prepare and submit travel expense reports for the BD Representative, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing
• Assist with the compilation and formatting of the weekly Business Development status report, aggregating CRM data, activity summaries, and pipeline updates

CRM & Pipeline Hygiene

• Maintain accurate and current records in the company CRM for all customer interactions, open requests, and account activity
• Assist the BD Representative in keeping opportunity records, contact data, and account histories up to date
• Generate routine account activity reports and status summaries as needed

Customer Relationship Support

• Build and maintain professional working relationships with customer procurement, logistics, and technical personnel at assigned accounts
• Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively communicate any concerns or emerging issues to the BD Representative

Position Overview

The Technology team of R&D Americas, located in Kennesaw Georgia, is seeking an experienced Engineer/Technologist in the Surface Treatment and Corrosion testing laboratories. This position plays a critical role in the laboratories that handle lab testing, develop new methods, operate and maintain test equipment, resolve equipment issues, design and implement next generation capabilities to improve existing setup. R&D Americas performs R&D projects and delivers innovation in advanced aluminum alloys with special surface characteristics that meet Novelis customers' requirements and supports Novelis manufacturing plants worldwide. The laboratories are set up to simulate real-production surface treatment processes in automotive/other OEMs and in-service corrosive environment. The Corrosion Labs includes 12 humidity chambers, one of them is dedicated specifically to adhesive/aluminum bond durability in extreme conditions.

The incumbent will work closely with Surface/Corrosion scientists to conduct research work that would include experiments design, testing, data interpretation and data analysis of the results through various laboratory based corrosion tests such as continuous neutral salt spray, cyclic corrosion testing (e.g. G85-A2), adhesive bond durability testing; surface treatment lab includes surface cleaning & etching, chemical conversion coating (e.g. Zn-phosphating), electrochemical oxidation (e.g. anodizing) and chemical bath characterization techniques (e.g. titration). A successful candidate will develop an in-depth knowledge of specialized surface treatment process/corrosion testing, while providing technical expertise/support to routine tests and non-routine experiments.

• Apply working knowledge and in-depth understanding of surface treatment process and corrosion testing to contribute to the technical feasibility analysis for projects and provide technical guidance.
• Use lab management software to plan and complete specific task requests for various Surface/Corrosion work packages - communicate task updates to partners.
• Use equipment in a safe operating manner and in compliance with Novelis safety standards. Ensure Standard Operating Procedures and Quality System protocols are followed when operating lab equipment.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials (e.g., acids, solvents) in accordance with safety procedures. Complete all required on-the-job training and maintain necessary certifications.
• Identify and correct hazards or unsafe practices in immediate work area or routine tasks and report to supervisor or site EHS lead.
• Use the application of standard scientific practices, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to ensure quality.
• Work with teams to identify improvements or modifications to equipment and processes to enhance effectiveness, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Develop new testing capabilities (new equipment) and testing methods. Prepare Work Instructions and maintain proper documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Engineering Degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical/Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or relevant field of study.
• 3 to 5 years' experience performing routine tasks and non-routine experiments in specific Surface treatment process/Corrosion testing.
• Knowledge and understanding of good safe lab practices.
• Knowledge of chemical handling and chemical mixing
• Broad experience with testing and measuring equipment, and laboratory testing tools. Mechanical proficiency and enjoy hands-on work.
• Experience in designing and implementing new capabilities within the Surface Treatment process and Corrosion testing labs
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize responsibility; must be able to manage multiple tasks without compromising the quality of work and data
• An interest in critical thinking, problem solving and attention to details; strong communication (verbal/written) and presentation skills for reporting to internal collaborators
• Proficient with computers and their applications to collect, store, and analyze data and images (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to report test results and findings with specific recommendations during project team meetings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree would be an added advantage.
• Experience in an industrial R&D laboratory setting.
• Experience with surface treatment processes (Zn-phosphating, Ti/Zr conversion coating or anodizing) on aluminum alloys.
• Experience with ISO 17025 or other recognized quality systems

Summary:

The primary function of the Estimator is to support the quotation process by gathering data and creating quotes in the ERP system. They collaborate with the engineering team to ensure accurate quotes, including labor, setup, and materials. After completing the quote, they communicate with the sales team and track open quotes to ensure timely processing. They also play a key role in resolving discrepancies in costs after job completion. Overall, their goal is to provide accurate and competitive quotes in line with company profitability and customer expectations.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

· Manage the estimating email inbox, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and requests related to quotations.

· Prioritize and organize incoming emails to efficiently address quotation needs and support the quote preparation process.

· Collaborate with relevant teams to gather additional information or clarification required for accurate quoting.

· Ensure all communication regarding quotations is documented and tracked appropriately within the ERP system.

· Facilitate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders regarding quotation inquiries and updates.

· Collect appropriate data for quotations and input them into the ERP system.

· Prepare the framework of quotations within the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

· Create technical data packages to support the engineering team in the quoting process.

· Load supplied methods and ensure each quote includes labor, setup, and materials for correct job flow through production.

· Track open quotes to ensure responsiveness and support from the engineering team, information for material pricing, and the sales team to meet required timeframes.

· Coordinate with operations and finance to rectify any discrepancies in labor, setup, or material costs post-job completion.

· Ensure that quotations provided by SIS are accurate and competitive, aligning with profitability goals and customer expectations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Estimator does not have any immediate supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual must possess proficiency in data collection and entry, utilizing meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy. They demonstrate familiarity with ERP systems for efficient quotation management and possess strong organizational skills to effectively prioritize tasks. Excellent communication abilities enable seamless collaboration with engineering, sales, and other departments, facilitating smooth coordination throughout the quotation process. Previous experience in a similar role or within a manufacturing environment is advantageous, showcasing the candidate's ability to thrive in this dynamic setting.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or GED Required, 5 years CNC machining experience or related experience required.

Language Skills:

Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform advanced mathematical computations; ability to convert metric units correctly and applying the conversions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
