We are currently looking for a Pipe Welder Shop to join our dynamic, fast-paced, and growing team. The Welder is responsible for the prep, layout, tack, weld, test, complex pipe spools and complex piping systems to work packages, drawings, PI&Ds per ASME B31.1 and MIL TP278, to production schedule under the guidance of the shop superintendent.
What You Will Be Doing
- Perform pipe welding with pipe fitting experience using knowledge of codes and specifications
- Reads and deciphers work packages, work scope, engineered drawings, and PI&Ds
- Works with the pipe shop group with a focus on quality, customer compliance, and schedule
- Assemble piping spools, weld, test, and assure all shop packages are complete, and work is compliant before presenting to QA
- Assures welding equipment is in good working condition and reports any malfunctions or maintenance needed
- Have all personal gear to perform pipe welding and fitting including welding gear, measuring devices, levels square, etc. maintained in good condition
- Additional duties as assigned
Your Background
- High school Graduate, related to Trade school and no less than 5 years work history/experience in this industry required
- Have experience in GTAW processes. Must qualify to Pipe in the 6-G position Per ASME Section IX using the GTAW process. Experience in structural welding using GMAW in various positions to AWS D1.1. Proven past welding qualification history is a plus
- Decipher welding symbols, reads, and follows work packages, drawings, PI&Ds, and blueprints
- Use various measuring equipment
- Full range of mechanical knowledge as well as the ability to fabricate and install piping on equipment as specified on drawings and PI&Ds
- 5+ years of experience
- Able to work in a team environment and self-motivated.
- US Citizenship required
- Able to work overtime when needed
- Have all the necessary hand tools to perform their discipline and maintain in good working order
- Supply their own transportation to and from Rhoads Industries, able to work within the Navy Yard and other job sites at times when requested
- OSHA /10 safety training required provided by Rhoads, having an up-to-date OSHA/10 a plus
- Experience in MIL work Per TP278 and past qualifications to TP248 is a plus
- Various shifts may be required, including overtime and weekends

Job Summary:
This position reports to the Quality Manager. The ideal candidate possesses a basic understanding of manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, and welding processes of Structural Steel Products. Ability to read different types of schematic drawings. Ability to use basic inspection equipment, prepare and write inspection reports.
Responsibilities:
Accident prevention actively identify, correct and/or report safety hazards to prevent accidents.
Actively identify and pursue cost reduction and efficiency/profit improvement opportunities.
Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the Sea Box Quality Policy calling for self-inspection of your work product.
Determines quality and reliability standards by studying drawings and formulas; verifying specifications with engineering staff.
Perform NDE of Welds and Welding Processes IAW AWS, Military, and Customer Specifications.
Identifies raw material condition by inspecting materials samples; conducting inspections and physical tests of materials.
Identifies in-process product condition by inspecting samples during productions process; conducting in-process inspections and physical tests.
Determines disposition of finished products by collecting, classifying, analyzing, and interpreting production and quality data; determine product acceptability in comparison to specifications.
Determines acceptability or rework by conducting inspections and physical tests of reworked product.
Documents finished product status by recording and summarizing raw materials, in-process, and finished-product inspection and physical test data; updating quality assurance data based.
Maintains quality assurance operations by following quality assurance policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Perform precision inspection with equipment such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, plug gauges and comparator

Key Responsibilities
Procurement
- Issue purchase orders for materials and components based on production requirements and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Obtain supplier quotations and support vendor selection based on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Track open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications
Education

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

The Casualty Claim Representative will be responsible for the handling of First- and Third-Party Bodily Injury and Physical Damage claims in a Personal Lines /Commercial environment for the Plymouth Rock Operation. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiate prompt contact of all insureds/claimants/witnesses on all new claim assignments to conduct thorough coverage and liability/injury investigations. These investigations might require the representatives take in depth recorded statements to investigate coverage and liability/injury claims.
- Analyze, review and interpret policies to assess coverage and liability. Provide advice to Excess and Primary coverage issues.
- Willing to conduct investigations, interviews with insureds, witnesses and claimants while maintaining a pending of represented claimant cases.
- Manage and direct outside vendors (Field/Counsel/Surveillance, Etc..) to determine what investigation is necessary and give them direction to bring a claim to conclusion. Ensure only necessary work is completed.
- Investigate cases timely so that reserves are established and maintained at proper levels. Revise reserves timely based on developments in the course of the claim.
- Investigate the validity of bodily injury claims being presented by individual insureds/claimants or attorneys representing insureds/claimants. Be aware of certain “Red Flags” to identify potential fraudulent claims. Refer to SIU for investigation timely.
- Have advanced skills in coverage, investigation, litigation/ legal issues, negotiations, evaluations, medical terminology, and subrogation. Handle more complex claims to include coverage issues, UM/UIM, etc.. Also, must have prior litigation handling.
- Recognize and investigate subrogation potential.
- Negotiate both 1st and 3rd party claims directly with injured parties or their attorneys.
- Exercises proper judgment and decision making to analyze exposure, determine the proper course of action and make recommendations for final resolution.
- Attend litigation proceedings to either represent the company or participate in arbitrations/depositions/settlement conferences/ mediations/ trials.
- Attend all internal and external training events as required.
