SUMMARY

The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting and executing human resources programs, policies, and practices across the organization to support business operations and foster a positive workplace culture. This role assists with HR operations, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The HR Generalist plays a key role in maintaining an engaged, productive, and legally compliant workforce within a dynamic design-build construction environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• HR Operations and Policy Administration: Support the implementation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals and legal requirements. Assist with daily HR operations including benefits administration, payroll coordination, employee records management, and HR documentation. Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and industry regulations.

• Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Assist with full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract qualified candidates for both field and office roles. Partner with hiring managers to post jobs, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and prepare offer documentation. Support onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new hires, including orientation, documentation, and system setup.

• Employee Relations and Engagement: Serve as a resource for employees and supervisors regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns. Assist in addressing employee relations matters, supporting conflict resolution, and promoting a positive and inclusive work environment. Help implement initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and retention.

• Performance Management and Development: Support the performance review process by coordinating schedules, documentation, and tracking completion. Assist managers with performance improvement documentation and employee development initiatives. Help coordinate training programs and professional development opportunities.

• Compliance and Risk Management: Support organizational compliance with employment laws, safety regulations, and HR best practices. Maintain accurate employee records and assist with internal audits, reporting requirements, and documentation management. Handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

• HR Systems and Technology Support: Utilize HRIS platforms to maintain employee records, run reports, and support HR data accuracy. Assist in maintaining HR systems and provide support to employees and managers on HR-related processes and technology tools.

• Quality Assurance: Track HR metrics and assist with reporting related to recruitment, retention, and workforce trends. Support continuous improvement of HR processes and employee experience initiatives.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, preferably within construction, engineering, or a related industry. Experience supporting multiple HR functions including recruiting, employee relations, and HR administration.

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday, BambooHR) and Microsoft Office applications. Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee lifecycle processes. Ability to maintain accurate data and generate HR reports.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees, managers, and field personnel. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build trust across teams.

• Organizational and Project Coordination: Ability to manage multiple HR tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced construction environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Professional certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar are a plus.

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in human resources, supporting recruitment, HR operations, and employee relations in a growing organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of project delivery from concept through construction, ensuring alignment with Flint’s constructability and BIM standards, client expectations, and financial goals.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams in the coordination of architectural, engineering, and construction processes; provide strategic guidance across all phases of design-build execution.
• Oversee and manage detailed project schedules, deliverables, and budgets; ensure key milestones are met and proactively identify and resolve risks or roadblocks.
• Facilitate and lead high-level project meetings, including design charrettes, owner presentations, technical coordination sessions, and internal strategy meetings; set clear agendas, drive outcomes, and ensure accountability.
• Oversee engagement with school districts, local jurisdictions, city planning departments, and permitting agencies to streamline submittals, revisions, and approvals.
• Provide executive-level oversight of design documentation including contracts, narratives, scopes of work, and change documentation to ensure clarity, alignment, and quality.
• Drive proposal development, fee structuring, and project scoping in close coordination with other architects, estimating, preconstruction, and executive teams.
• Direct and manage BIM execution strategies in collaboration with VDC staff; ensure accurate modeling, clash detection, and seamless transition to construction documentation.
• Ensure all project documentation meets both regulatory and constructability standards; provide quality control oversight and technical reviews as needed.
• Resolve design and construction coordination challenges swiftly and decisively; escalate issues only when necessary and act as the primary point of accountability.
• Provide high-level mentorship and leadership to project architects, designers, and support staff; foster a proactive, solutions-driven culture focused on excellence, growth, and results.

Job Requirements, Qualifications, Characteristics:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Licensed Architect
• 10+ years of architectural project management experience with a strong understanding of design development, construction documentation, drawings and specifications, and coordination in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• High proficiency in Revit is required; experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and other design and construction-related platforms is strongly preferred.
• Familiar with Adobe Creative suite, Lumion, Enscape, Autodesk construction cloud. Modeling/drafting software such as Sketchup and AutoCAD.
• Proficient is 3D modeling & coordination tools such as ACC and Revizto.
• Having education/ DSA and public project coordination is a must.
• Strong project coordination and communication skills, with proven success managing interdisciplinary teams and fostering collaboration between design, preconstruction, and field teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Executive Support: Act as the primary point of contact among executives, employees, clients, and external partners. Assist the CEO with assigned tasks and strategic priorities.
• Office Management: Oversee daily office operations and procedures for both the Mountain View and Saratoga offices. Manage vendors and ensure all office and kitchen supplies are adequately stocked.
• Finance & Accounting Coordination: Manage bookkeeping and office budgets. Process employee reimbursements and manage company financial records in QuickBooks. Coordinate with accountants by organizing and preparing all necessary tax return documents.

Responsibilities

In your role as an FPGA Design Engineer, you will work in a highly collaborative and cross-functional development environment including mutual peer review to maintain high product quality. This work will include FPGA requirements, design, and simulation as well as code synthesis, hardware integration, and test support. You will contribute to multiple FPGA projects in support of the long-term Reliable Robotics technology roadmap.

Basic Success Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent

• 8+ years of full-cycle electronics hardware development experience in a professional environment

• Professional experience designing FPGA digital logic using industry-standard design, simulation, and synthesis tools

As a Hardware Test Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be a key part of the Hardware Test team. This is a small team of broadly experienced engineers that strive to ensure that all hardware being produced meets the stringent requirements for aviation. Hardware Test Engineers are one of the essential interfaces between the design, production, and flight test teams and are exposed to a wide variety of technical challenges.

You will be creating automated test stands to replicate extreme flight conditions on our hardware and mechanisms that will serve as the backbone of our qualification testing. You will help to break our development hardware, help root-cause the failure modes, and provide critical input in redesigning it. You will be writing the software and building the hardware platforms for the command, control and data collection systems that will test our systems to rigorous aerospace standards.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of the design, build, and maintenance of mechanical or electrical test stands for development testing, production acceptance testing, functional and environmental qualification testing

• Automate the repetitive aspects of the test stands

• Author, execute, and audit test plans, procedures, and reports

• Work closely with design engineers and flight test engineers to design, build, test and improve flight hardware

Basic Success Criteria

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience

• 1+ year of industry experience testing hardware

• Experience using ECAD tools such as Altium or MCAD tools such as NX

• Comfort with basic software scripting in Python, C/C++, or MATLAB

• Working understanding of mechanical or electrical engineering fundamentals

• Eagerness for hands-on work - integration of sensors, building test fixtures, diagnosing and debugging equipment and hardware

• Ability to methodically diagnose, document, and solve hardware problems

• A demonstrated passion for mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical hardware

• 2+ years experience in aerospace hardware test planning and execution

• Experience working on and around aircraft

As a Flight Controls Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be part of the Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Team. You will design, implement, integrate, and test flight control laws for all phases of operation including autotaxi, auto-takeoff, autoland, and automatic rollout. Basic Success Criteria

• BS in aerospace engineering, robotics, or equivalent field

• 3+ years of hands on, professional experience developing and testing flight controls algorithms

• Experience with flight dynamics simulation and model identification

• Professional experience with developing C/C++ flight software and Python data reduction & analysis

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Criteria

• MS in aerospace engineering, robotics, or similar advanced degree

• Current pilot, instrument or commercial ratings

• Experience with flight controls, autopilot, or flight management system certification

We are developing and building high-integrity, safety-critical systems for automated flight, and your role is critical to what we do at Reliable Robotics. With the support of the entire team, you will be making key contributions to the autoflight system that drive our core company mission forward.

This position is based at our facility in Mountain View, California.

Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.

This position requires access to information that is subject to U.S. export controls. An offer of employment will be contingent upon the applicant's capacity to perform in compliance with U.S. export control laws.

Compensation Range: $155K - $215K
