Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, and Commodity Management (All Levels)

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies by analyzing suppliers to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure reliable supply for upcoming product launches.
• Assist in evaluating and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness to maintain a robust supply base capable of Castelion's rapid development and production.
• Track and report on performance metrics and sourcing trends to support alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance service levels while addressing risks and compliance requirements.
• Participate in contract negotiations, including pricing, technical requirements, and compliance terms.
• Facilitate design for manufacturability reviews with input from supplier quality and engineering teams.
• Contribute to the development and execution of supply plans to mitigate risks and ensure timely delivery of quality materials.
• Assist in addressing sole/single source risks to maintain supply chain continuity.
• Lead and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to address and resolve issues with rejected materials, aiming to prevent future quality problems.
• Provide regular updates to key stakeholders on critical supply issues and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant government regulations.

Basic Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Technical Proficiency: 2+ years of experience working in a related field, program, or project

Preferred Skills and Experience

• System Experience: Experience with MRP or ERP systems, and with managing bill of materials, work orders, and purchase orders, and the total ownership of the data within them.
• Technical Skills: This role requires broad mechanical domain knowledge, including machined parts, composites, chemicals, avionics and their associated manufacturers and manufacturing methods.
• Problem-Solving: Innovative problem-solving approach using critical thinking, including utilization of learnings from an American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification, Six Sigma certification, or similar certifications and data analysis using Excel, SQL, or an advanced analytics software.
• Clearance: Active US Government security clearance or the ability to get one.

This manager-level position within the Global Content Operations team will be responsible for producing and managing events for Samsung TV Plus, ensuring seamless streaming experiences and representing Samsung on-site at events. This role involves traveling to various locations to oversee event production, coordinate with streaming vendors, and ensure alignment with Samsung's brand and technical standards. Additionally, the role will also create and manage events on the platform's CMS (Content Management System) to ensure smooth integration and delivery to device.

As Samsung TV Plus expands its live content portfolio, encompassing concerts, sports, and stunt events, this role will be pivotal in executing this vision. The position will entail substantial travel, with the incumbent expected to attend various locations to oversee event production and manage on-site operations effectively. Role and Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Event Production and Management:

• Plan, produce, and execute live events for Samsung TV Plus, spanning various content types such as music concerts, sports, and stunt events.

CMS Event Creation and Management:

Streaming Vendor Coordination:

Technical Oversight:

Skills and Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of experience in event production, streaming, or similar roles.
• Proven experience in managing live streaming operations for large-scale events.
• Knowledge of content delivery networks (CDNs) and encoding standards.
• Technical understanding of content delivery for FAST linear and VOD a plus.
• Proven ability to design and implement organized, efficient processes from complex and chaotic environments within a rapidly scaling platform.

Compensation for this role for a candidate based in Los Angeles, CA is expected to be between $140,000 and $165,000 but may be higher or lower in other regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.

Qualifications You Must Have

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Science, Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in product development project management, preferably in the cosmetics, wellness or supplements industry.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Asana or similar project management tools.

The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating project schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
