As a Systems Safety Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the Systems & Safety team and will report to the Systems & Safety Manager. The Systems & Safety Team is responsible for architecting systems which support novel safety-critical functions, establishing development methodologies for new technologies, and comply with the federal regulations.

As part of an experienced multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to expanding the aircraft's operational and functional capabilities. Your professional experience in aircraft and system safety will further strengthen the team's ability to meet rigorous expectations of stakeholders and certification authorities. You will collaborate with members from other groups within Reliable Robotics to ensure the safety of new and novel systems necessary for unmanned aircraft operations.

Responsibilities

In your role as a Systems Safety Engineer you will contribute to the development and architectural design supporting the delivery of prototypes and certifiable safety-critical flight systems in a dynamic start-up work environment.

You will have these responsibilities:

• Apply systems safety methodologies as defined by industry standards

• Develop new processes / methodologies used to certify autonomous / remote operations

• Perform safety activities in coordination with design, development and verification of aviation systems including: Generate safety artifacts such as FHAs & Safety Assessments for aircraft, systems and equipment. Generate reliability or testability assessments to support safety activities. Validate safety requirements in collaboration with systems teams. Ensure consistency between the safety activities and development activities.

• Support flight operations with safety of flight assessments for experimental operations

Basic Success Criteria

Responsibilities

As a Flight Software Engineer, you will develop highly deterministic C++ software in a bare metal environment that works with sensors & control systems, robustly handles system faults, and integrates with other vehicle subsystems. In your role as a Radar Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing phased array radar systems and developing radar processing algorithms to enable short, long range object tracking, and radar image generation. You will drive the system-level requirements of the phased array radar system, and drive trade studies collaborating with the cross functional teams. Basic Success Criteria

In your role as a Displays Software Engineer, your primary focus will be designing, architecting, and building a variety of real-time user interface applications for controlling our automated aircraft systems. These can range from real-time embedded UIs on aviation-grade hardware to browser-based applications. All of these applications will support our work to build a fully certified system in multiple ways: they will serve as a platform for rapidly prototyping different workflows and designs; they will be directly used in our ongoing experimental test flight programs; and they will ultimately serve as a reference implementation for our certified displays and controls. Position Summary: Remote/Office based with up to 25% travel Need to be located in MST or CST Timezone HFS Midstream is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support product distribution terminals across our enterprise.

This role focuses on the design, construction, and modification of pipeline and terminal facilities, with an emphasis on electrical and instrumentation systems(PLC's, ProLogic, Flow Meters, Acculode to Multilode) at the terminals.

The Engineer will serve as a technical specialist, developing scopes of work, engineering designs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities • System Design & Modification: Engineer electrical and instrumentation systems for new facilities and upgrades to existing pipeline and terminal infrastructure.

Does not need an expert in CAD • Standards Compliance: Apply NEC, NFPA, API standards, and other applicable codes to ensure safe and reliable operations.

• Control Systems Integration: Design and implement process control systems, including SCADA, PLCs, Terminal Management Systems, IT/OT considerations, and hazardous area classifications.

• Technical Documentation: Develop logic diagrams, cause-and-effect matrices, control narratives, and detailed wiring and termination drawings.

• Project Scoping: Define technical requirements and scope of work in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Electrical Engineering: Design low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems, control circuits, and instrumentation wiring for PLC's and Flow Meters.

Currently using Acculode • Procurement & Costing: Prepare equipment specifications, procurement packages, and cost estimates for budgeting purposes.

• Operational Support: Troubleshoot technical issues and assist with commissioning and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).

• Vendor Coordination: Review and evaluate vendor proposals for equipment purchases and modernization projects.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in electrical and instrumentation engineering.

Experience: • Minimum 5 years of industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation design for pipeline and terminal facilities.

• Proficiency in electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, conduit layouts, instrumentation loops, and PLC hardware.

• Experience selecting electrical equipment for classified areas.

Preferred: • Professional Engineer (PE) registration.

Education: • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering (or equivalent).

• Ten years of applicable experience preferred.

Skills and Competencies • Ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical one-line diagrams, and instrument drawings.

• Expertise in hazardous location wiring practices, panel design, and PLC hardware.

• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

• Advanced mathematical and analytical capabilities.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Toptech and DTN loading systems.

Work Conditions • Office/Remote-based with up to 25% travel.

• Exposure to varying weather conditions; ability to work outdoors.

• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing up to 200 ft, and working in confined spaces.
