Job Description:


Summary:

  • Design and route aerospace-grade wire harnesses in SolidWorks (transitioning to Siemens NX); integrate in constrained environments; ensure compliance with space/aero environmental constraints; collaborate closely with build and test.


Key Responsibilities:

  • 3D routing and 2D documentation (drawings, wiring tables, BOMs, callouts).
  • Apply separation, shielding, grounding, and EMI/EMC best practices for digital/RF.
  • Select materials/components mindful of outgassing/TML/CVCM, thermal, vibration, and vacuum constraints.
  • Coordinate with ME, EE, Systems, and Manufacturing to ensure serviceability and buildability.
  • Manage CAD libraries and participate in design reviews.


Requirements:

  • 2+ to 7+ years harness design in aerospace/aircraft (satellite/rocket a plus).
  • SolidWorks proficiency; NX experience or openness to transition.
  • Demonstrated constrained routing in compact volumes.
  • Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620, AS9100 environments, and aerospace-grade connector families.


Education:

Boeing Defense, Space and Security is seeking DSP Algorithms Engineers (Mid-Level or Lead) to join the Space, Intelligence and Weapons Systems teams in El Segundo, CA! Boeing's Space, Intelligence and Weapons Systems oversees the company's major commercial and government satellite and ground programs for communications, national defense, and other missions.

As a DSP Algorithms Engineer, you will design and develop state-of-the-art, space-based communication systems for commercial, civil and/or national security programs. You will be part of a highly-motivated team that works with domestic or international customers on their latest satellite systems.

Project assignments typically span the unit life cycle, from internal trades, concept studies and system definition, to satellite unit development and test. - Responsible for finding solution for intricate timing paths (Digital, analog and mixed signal)

The Optical Engineering Team provides all optical systems engineering services to Millennium's direct programs, studies, proposals, and Internal Research & Development (IRAD) efforts. They are systems engineers managing interfaces between the space vehicle and Electro-Optical (EO)/Infrared (IR) payloads and laser system/laser communication payloads. The team models mission phenomenology and detection performance of EO/IR and active sensors considering the spectral, spatial, and radiometric attributes of the sensor. They determine what on-orbit and ground image processing algorithms should be implemented to support mission requirements. An Optical Systems Engineer possesses a strong background in spaceborne electro-optical sensor technology (visible to infrared; active and passive). Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

- Degree in Electrical, Computer, or other relevant engineering

- Strong proficiency with hand-written synthesizable SystemVerilog

- Strong proficiency with common version control, defect/task tracking, and documentation systems

- At least 4 years developing FPGA/ASIC systems

- At least 2 years as an Responsible Engineer, Project Lead, IPT Lead, or equivalent

- Must be versatile and able to perform and manage multiple tasks concurrently

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

- Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance

- At least 6 years developing FPGA/ASIC systems for space environments

- At least 2 years experience as a functional manager or manager in a matrix organization

- Level K: $142,000 - 253,000
