Pay: $65-$80/hour

Job Summary: Generally responsible for supervision and technical direction over a team of engineers and designers when functioning as a lead engineer. As lead engineer, responsibilities include total delivery of the civil/structural deliverables and services on time, within performance budget and meeting quality expectations. Duties may include performing advanced engineering work serving as a technical specialist for complex engineering assignments. Work at this level requires extensive progressive experience in civil/structural engineering and involves utilization of project controls for cost, schedule and quality of projects. Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Reviewing and approving all civil/structural deliverables.
- Validating professional service and construction estimates at the beginning of a project, and then tracking changes as the project progresses.
- Producing professional service estimates in accordance with the department standards for project deliverables, project studies and estimates, change notices and for the development of new work through proposal efforts.
- Establishing the design criteria, incorporating client requirements, estimate and/or scope basis and design basis meeting applicable state, local and federal standards and codes. Ensuring that any requirements for permitting have been established and communicated to the project team.
- Knowing project scope and deliverables. Initiating timely change notices when deviation is made from project scope, affecting schedule, deliverables or cost of the work.
- Planning and organizing the work of your team. Communicating the plan to your team, the project leadership team and the client.
- Maintaining control of the project by tracking and maintaining discipline performance budget progress, schedule commitments, and quality standards. Understanding and utilizing the project tools that are in place for project control.
- Delegating work to engineers and designers in proportion to their technical skills and experience, then following up for support to ensure efficient progress and quality.
- Consulting with design leaders from other disciplines in proportion to their technical skills and experience, then following up for support to ensure efficient progress and quality.
- Producing estimate level preliminary designs and material take-off suitable for the level of estimate being performed on a project.

- Producing detail design calculations and sketches for materials of construction associated with the project. - Producing project designs with efficient use of construction materials with an overall emphasis on ease of construction and completed product meeting the expectations of the client.
- Checking calculations made by other engineers to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practice.
- Producing construction specifications.
- Monitoring drawings in progress to ensure conformance to design calculations and specifications.
- Assisting the drafting group in resolving routine layout and detailing problems. Ensuring that sufficient sketches and details are provided for completion of engineering drawings.
- Reviewing and checking vendor drawings and other discipline drawings for civil/structural input.
- Producing bid packages enabling civil/structural purchase inquiries to be issued for procurement of materials or subcontract pricing.
- Participating in the planning of training programs, continuous education opportunities and professional development of staff.
- Ability to lead small to large size teams in coordinating civil/structural efforts and keeping the team focused on scope, schedule and budget.
- Ability to identify and develop work sharing packages for interoffice execution support. Provide leadership to ensure communication and execution of work within scope, schedule and budget.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Surface Warfare Officers (SWOs) are involved in virtually every aspect of Navy missions. As a SWO, you may be in charge of any number of shipboard operations and activities while at sea, working with or within any of these specialized forces:
Aircraft Carrier Forces: Provide and coordinate air, submarine and surface ship defense for aircraft carriers.
Cruiser-Destroyer Forces: Provide ship attack and defensive measures with a wide array of missile and fire power capabilities, providing anti-air, -submarine and -surface warfare support.
Amphibious Forces: Embark and transport vehicles, equipment and personnel for amphibious assault operations.
Combat-Logistics Forces: Provide combatant ships with fuel, ammunition, food and supplies, and provide repair, maintenance and rescue capabilities through Fleet Support Ships.
Mine Warfare Forces: Detect, identify and neutralize threats from hostile use of maritime mines.

Work Environment

Newly commissioned Surface Warfare Officers will be assigned to a surface ship, leading a team of Sailors responsible for a component of the ship - anything from electronics to weapons to engineering systems. In this setting, Officers are working toward full Surface Warfare qualification.
After completing these initial sea tours, Surface Warfare Officers may be selected to serve on high-level staffs, commands or strategic projects or they may be selected to work in recruitment. The ultimate goal for many: to one day command their own ship.

Position Overview
The Newtron Group is expanding our Preconstruction Team with emphasis on expanding our Design-Build capabilities.
The Electrical Engineer – Design Build / Preconstruction will support estimating, preconstruction, and project teams by identifying design gaps, constructability issues, and code compliance concerns within issued drawing packages and progressed BIM models.
This role plays a critical part in:
- Improving bid accuracy

- Temporary power design assistance

This position reports directly to the Director of Preconstruction and collaborates closely with estimating, BIM/VDC, procurement, scheduling, and construction teams across the organization.
This role does not serve as Engineer of Record and does not assume design liability for final stamped drawings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preconstruction & Estimating Support
- Perform technical reviews of issued drawing packages, specifications, and owner standards
- Identify design gaps, ambiguities, conflicts, and code compliance concerns
- Validate raceway sizing, conductor counts, and fill assumptions
- Review voltage drop impacts on feeder and branch circuits
- Assist estimators with scope validation and risk identification
- Develop technical narratives, clarifications, and proposal assumptions
- Participate in constructability reviews to ensure systems are practical, code compliant, and aligned with field installation methods
- Support the development and evolution of internal preconstruction tools, systems, and processes
2. Design Gap Resolution & Technical Analysis
- Raceway fill calculations
- Voltage drop calculations
- Equipment sizing validation
- Short-circuit and coordination review support (as required)
- Arc flash study review support
- Temporary power design including load and lighting calculations

Job Summary
The Operations Support Specialist serves as the strategic financial and administrative anchor for our high reliability utility operations between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will act as a key liaison providing you with direct visibility and collaborative access to regional leadership, operations and the corporate finance department.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze current financial processes at the facility and recommend improvements to the General Manager.
- Assist in creating and maintaining the O&M budget and reporting monthly financials to operations staff.
- Perform necessary General Ledger (GL) reconciliations and accruals.
- Create and maintain key monthly operational reports for internal and external stakeholders
Utility & Project Coordination
- Track and analyze utility consumption, costs, and sales variances across various locations.
- Create and track project budgets and actual expenditures
- Manage the purchase order process, including entering and tracking POs and processing incoming invoices
Administrative & Operational Support
- Assist in maintaining relationships with key vendors and managing the vendor input process.
- Support the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities.
- Process credit card expenses for the management and operations staff.
- Represent the unit professionally in interactions with various internal and external customers.
- Proactively manage the procurement of office and facility supplies, ensuring the team is always equipped with the resources needed for uninterrupted operations
- Drive the logistics for on-site meetings and VIP visits, agenda support, including catering coordination, space preparation, and internal hospitality requirements.

Job Responsibilities
Biomedical Engineering Services
Provide oversight to outsourced biomedical engineering vendor as a functional expert
Provides and keeps abreast of the biomedical equipment management standards of The Joint Commission, CMS, and other applicable regulatory bodies
Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure vendor performance. Prepares regular reports on vendor performance, customer feedback, and KPIs for senior management in FMOLHS markets
Ensures timely start and end of service contracts when medical equipment is replaced
Reviews invoices for appropriate charges per the contract
Collaborate with hospital and clinic department leaders on the appropriate service level and vendor for both new and existing medical equipment
Negotiate service contracts with outsourced biomedical engineering vendor and original equipment manufacturers for both installed base equipment and point of sale service contracts from original equipment manufacturers during capital acquisition
Medical Equipment Capital Asset Planning/Management
Develop multi-year medical equipment capital acquisition & replacement plan
Create multi-year medical capital equipment acquisition plan by partnering with the regional market leaders to aggregate regional plans and take advantage of our collective size when going to market for new medical capital equipment
Collaborate and communicate with key regional stakeholders on an on-going basis to ensure coordination and support
Implement total cost of ownership framework for medical equipment capital acquisitions
