Key Activities:

Increase territory profitability and revenue through an in depth understanding of the territory.

Required Skills:

• Must be able to travel 30-40%. Position is Remote (At home and at Customer Sites) but must live within the territory.

Base Salary Range - $88,000 - 117,000 USD. RESPONSIBILITY

The Plating Manufacturing Engineer provides technical ownership and process expertise for the following plating layers and process sequences including Zincate(aluminum pre-treatment), Copper, Nickel, Tin, Tin-Copper (SnCu), Gold and Silver.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

• Four-year college degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or equivalent required.

Your Mission:

As our Project Manager, you will:

• In collaboration with our leadership, the Project Manager is responsible for managing projects from late-stage development and financial close through commercial operation, managing the health and safety program, quality, on time and on budget execution by third party EPC contractors and subcontractors. The Project Manager will support constructability reviews for Development projects and support closeout activities that coincide with transitioning a project to O&M, may manage multiple projects in construction and will oversee engineering, development, legal or finance staff supporting the projects.
• Driving, creating, and managing projects and contractor schedules along with deliverables.
• Ability to effectively coordinate and handle, under pressure, multiple projects with a high degree of independence and professional judgment to deliver projects within deadlines
• Partnering with the team to ensure an efficient transition of projects through the construction and transition to O&M.
• Supporting constructability reviews, scheduling and indicative construction pricing requests for projects.
• Assembling RFPs for subcontractors and defining scope of work packages for construction activities and participate in EPC subcontractor selection and contract negotiation.
• Supporting review and analysis of subcontractor bids for various EPC services and support overall project execution.
• Managing Requests for Information and Change Management processes during construction.

Engineering & Technical Oversight

• Manage the RFI, Submittal, and related engineering interfacing throughout the construction process.
• Support value engineering, constructability analysis, and technical problem-solving in collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Review design documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements before commencement or work.

Permitting & Procurement Management

• Manage permitting requirements with the AHJ throughout the construction process and ensure compliance.
• Ensure procurement activities and schedule are tracking per project requirements.
• Manage procurement schedule and budget.

Budgeting & Documentation

• Manage the project budget and schedules.
• Track actuals, monitor assumptions, and flag risks or changes early.
• Own contract documentation workflows including early-stage agreements, lien waivers, prevailing wage compliance, and vendor qualification intake.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure all construction activities are performed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Oversee Lien Waiver and related financial institutional requirements.
• Establish and maintain federal/state requirements for RAI’s engagements.
• Support early-stage risk identification and mitigation across engineering, permitting, and procurement workflows.

AAR, a SOCOTEC Company, is seeking an experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer to lead a new division in Portland, Oregon as General Manager and Principal-in-Charge. This role combines technical leadership, business development, and team management to drive operational and financial success.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee division operations, budgets, and workload planning
• Serve as Principal-in-Charge on major projects, providing technical oversight and quality review
• Mentor and guide project managers and technical staff
• Manage client relationships, contracts, and project deliverables
• Track KPIs, financial performance, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Support business development and strategic growth initiatives

Qualification

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience managing engineering projects and teams.
• 5+ years experience in the construction materials testing (CMT) industry
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in geotechnical design software.
• Ability to visit field sites as needed; valid driver’s license required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Incoming Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials and components to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspection results, including non-conformance reports and corrective actions taken.

• Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues and improve the quality of incoming materials.

• Quality Standards: Develop and implement quality assurance procedures and guidelines for incoming inspection processes.

• Data Analysis: Analyze inspection data and trends to identify areas for improvement and support decision-making processes.

• Training: Provide training and support to team members on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices.

• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.

• Audits: Assist in internal and external audits related to incoming inspection and quality control processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, with a focus on incoming inspection in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards).

• Proficient in using measurement tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or similar accreditation.

• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality improvement techniques.

• Familiarity with industry standards related to electrical or mechanical components.
