CNC Programmer / Machine Tool Engineer / CNC Machinist Role

  • Based in Canastota, NY, with occasional travel to client locations if required.
  • Write and modify CNC programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis mills and lathes.
  • Review CAD blueprints and translate designs into CNC programs.
  • Assist machinists during CNC machine set-up and resolve technical issues.
  • Select the appropriate cutting tools and define the sequence of operations for each job.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with CNC machines.
  • Work with engineering and internal teams to develop accurate product quotes and technical solutions.
  • Train junior technicians and machinists on CNC operations.
  • Maintain safety compliance and ensure all tasks are carried out in line with company regulations.

  • At least 4 years’ experience in CNC programming with 3, 4, and 5-axis mills and lathes.
  • Proficiency in Mastercam and SolidWorks.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and experience with CNC machines.
  • Strong math skills, particularly in algebra, trigonometry, and physics.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of metal shop equipment and machining processes.
  • Experience with CMMs and CNC Mills is a plus.
  • High school diploma required, technical certifications or related education preferred.

The Role:

This role requires a strong presence both in the office and in the field, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, successful delivery of this project and can:


  • Lead all phases of the construction project including pre-construction, procurement, construction, and close-out
  • Serve as the primary contact for owners and key stakeholders
  • Establish project goals, execution strategies and staffing plans
  • Oversee multiple Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers
  • Develop and manage project budgets, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts
  • Lead project meetings (owner, subcontractor, OAC)
  • Work hand in hand with site superintendents and field staff
  • Manage financial closeouts with subcontractors
  • Coordinate final payments


What we need from you:

  • 12+ years of construction management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Proven experience managing large-scale or complex NYC construction projects
  • Advanced understanding of NYC codes, permitting, and regulatory processes
  • Experience working closely with Subcontractors, Vendors, Consultants and Owners.
  • Demonstrated ability to think and operate like an owner, with a focus on value creation and value preservation across design, procurement, and construction
  • Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar)
