The Acute Medical Unit (5800) specializes in the care of patients with complex medical conditions and multi-system health issues. Nurses on this unit have the opportunity to build and strengthen their clinical expertise by managing a wide range of acute illnesses, including cardiac conditions requiring telemetry, diabetes, kidney disease and dialysis, pulmonary disorders, and patients requiring multiple drips, drains, and catheters. In addition to medical care, RNs on 5800 play a vital role in supporting the psychosocial needs of patients, particularly those with substance use disorders and mental health challenges, providing compassionate, holistic care to a diverse patient population.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care

· Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate data (i.e. physical, psychological, educational and risk-screen data appropriate for the chronological / developmental age of the patient).

· Communicates and documents assessment of patient with the interdisciplinary team. Utilizes all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family.

· Develops and documents plan of care, treatment and services which is individualized and appropriate for the patient needs, strengths, limitations and goals.

· Complies with organizational policies, procedures and protocols including policies governing safety, medication administration and documentation.

· Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations and updates documentation appropriately.

· Completes at least one clinical research utilization (CRU) form for submission to Nursing Research Department utilizing a research article from the last 5 years from research performed in the United States. Compliance

· Completes a minimum of 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) per year.

· Completes mandatory in-services and health screens in timely manner.

· Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing

· Registered Nurse license in New York State.

· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Position Summary

The Program Manager is responsible for leading complex precision optics programs from initial pursuit through contract award program execution, and delivery. This role owns cost, schedule, and technical coordination across engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers. In a small-business environment, the Program Manager is hands-on, highly cross-functional, and directly engaged in both strategic planning and day-to-day execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own full program lifecycle for large precision optics projects.
  • Serve as primary customer point of contact for program execution, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Develop and manage program schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including opto-mechanical engineering, manufacturing, metrology, quality, and supply chain.
  • Translate customer requirements into executable technical and manufacturing plans.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Estimating & Quoting

  • Develop detailed cost estimates and customer quotations for:
  • Injection molding tooling (prototype, bridge, and production tools)
  • Non-recurring engineering (NRE) activities
  • Fixtures, gauges, and auxiliary equipment
  • Piece-part pricing for molded components
  • Contract manufacturing opportunities, including automation, secondary operations, and packaging equipment
  • Estimate material costs, cycle times, machine rates, labor hours, and overhead assumptions.
  • Prepare cost breakdowns that clearly communicate assumptions, risks, and cost drivers.
  • Support the Key Account Managers (KAMs) with new product introduction (NPI) initiatives along with sustaining programs by providing revised or updated quotes as required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of manufacturing instrumentation and process control systems.

• Work closely with operations, process engineers, and maintenance to understand the business and user needs and priorities.

• Provide full life cycle support of control systems in our film sensitizing area, including developing requirements, programming support, commissioning, and ongoing hardware and software maintenance, from the control room to the field instrumentation.

• Support upgrade projects for existing Rockwell Automation PLC based control systems, Emerson Ovation DCS and Reliance Automax Machine Coordinated Drive Control Systems including identifying system hardware and software architecture improvement opportunities.

• Provide hardware and integration support for Ethernet based control systems in the plant IT environment.

• Work with maintenance to develop data driven reliability improvement opportunities, as well as troubleshoot system hardware, resolve software malfunctions and assist in system improvements and software upgrades.

• Implement improvements in systems capabilities that will increase the ability to meet customer requirements, including safe and reliable operations, and improve business competitiveness, using Six Sigma methodology as applicable.
