Quality Control Manager

Career Description

We are looking for a detail oriented and technical savvy Quality Control Manager to join our team in Buckeye, AZ.

Responsible for preparing policies and procedures for the QC department and ensuring compliance with contract requirements and quality control plan. Ensures quality is achieved through-out all aspects of manufacturing by inspecting structures, equipment, engineering hardware, parts and materials. Documents any discrepancies and assures proper disposition

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintains a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with customers, co-workers, clients, and supervisors.
• Manages direct reports through coaching and supporting their training, development, and productivity.
• Develops and maintain good relationships with customers; coordinate activities with drafting/engineering, sales and estimating, shipping and production departments to determine project schedules.
• Plans and formulates inspection plans.
• Directs the activities for assigned work unit to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Determines work schedules, priorities and work assignments of subordinates.
• Determines quality assurance methodology and techniques to be used in inspecting and testing systems or materials.
• Conducts quality assurance audits and prepares reports to document findings.
• Coordinates with other work units to accomplish assigned work.
• Advises other managers on status of work. Interfaces and acts as a liaison with customers, contractors and suppliers.
• Reviews and recommends changes and/or resolves technical problems.
• Provides technical and operation support and/or services to ensure quality assurance standards are met in providing support to various project tasks.
• Develops reports and papers on the progress and status of assigned projects.
• Develops corrective actions to support task problems and failures.
• Prepares or coordinates the preparation of quality assurance reports, requirements, etc., in response to requests for proposals, quotes, brochures, manuals etc.
• May review quality assurance program plans, proposals and inspection plans.
• Performs various administrative activities for assigned unit, including approving time sheets and vacation requests, preparing performance appraisals and planning new work systems and methods.
• Monitors and advises on the performance of the quality management system, produce data and report on performance, measuring against standards.
• Coordinates with other managers to insure quality system is functioning properly.
• Advises on changes and implementation and provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.
• Devises and reviews as required the company quality, procedures, standards & specifications.
• Ensures customer requirements are met.
• Sets-up and maintains controls and documenting procedures.
• Monitors performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
• Supervises Quality Control Inspectors and/or administrative employees.
• Updates and maintains QA manual on a regular cadence to maintain compliance.
• Manages all required third party special inspections on related projects.
• Maintains and manages non-conformance system on a daily basis to ensure no defects reach the customer.
• Participates in new hire interviewing and testing processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Career Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain or manufacturing-related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of Quality Control experience.
• 5 years or more of progressive management experience preferred.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
• ASNT level II certification preferred.
• ASNT level III certification preferred.
• Knowledge of AISC/ISO certification programs preferred.
• Working knowledge of engineering and design concepts in the structural steel/joist/girder industry.
• Extensive communication abilities – both oral and written including the ability to write routine reports and correspondence, the ability to speak effectively with customers, the ability to make formal presentation.
• Strong PC skills to include as a minimum: Microsoft Office Suite and other manufacturing software applications. Working knowledge with BlueBeam and D365 a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.

The OSA is responsible for the end-to-end management of data content, collection, validation, visualization, forecasting, and reporting. What you’ll need…

Required:

• 5-7 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, lab operations analytics, sales operations, commercial analytics or a similar role
• Proficiency with analytical and reporting tools such as Tableau, One Model, advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros), SQL, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), R, Python, or similar platforms.
• Experience defining, structuring, and documenting data for diverse audiences

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Hourly base salary for this position is $33.90 - $50.90 and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance to local state and federal ‘Wage and Hour’ requirements.

The Product Manager – Undercarriage Systems is a technical commercial product management position that supports the ME Fully Integrated Technologies strategy (ME FIT). This role ensures that the strategies, technical standards, and commercial objectives defined for the Undercarriage Systems product line are effectively executed, enabling profitable growth and high-quality support to customers. This role is essential in driving the strategic direction of our company, managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the company's growth and profitability through product management excellence. The role also focuses on improving The Customer Experience by ensuring that products and services are delivered in a way that meets/exceeds customer expectations.

Nature and Scope:

The role acts as the primary bridge between Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, PDG, Supply Chain, and Foundry Operations, ensuring alignment with our Value-added Integrated Solutions Philosophy. The role is also responsible for coordinating and deploying VAES and ME FIT Systems and programs. Responsible for the Undercarriage systems product line’s technical & commercial performance, ensuring consistent implementation of sales support processes, tools, and best practices, while ensuring full alignment with the company’s values and leadership principles.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of the Undercarriage Systems product management strategy to drive growth, profitability, and market share gains. Work closely with Director of Product Management and other senior leadership to align departmental goals with overall business objectives.
• Product Strategy & Development: Partners with Technical & Commercial teams to develop and execute the product strategy for the Crusher Liners portfolio. Identify market trends, customer requirements, and industry dynamics to drive product roadmap decisions. Promote standardization of technical assessments, proposal formats, pricing methodologies, and opportunity qualification practices.
• Sales Process Support and Opportunity Management: Oversee and support the sales team’s participation across all stages of the sales cycle: opportunity identification, technical scoping, proposal generation, negotiation, closing, delivery, and post-sales follow-up. Deliver high-quality technical support for Account Managers, enabling them to sell the Undercarriage Products effectively. Support high-value or strategically important opportunities, providing guidance on technical strategy, commercial positioning, pricing, and risk mitigation.
• Financial Management: Monitor key financial indicators for the Undercarriage Systems Product Line, including order intake, revenue, and margins, ensuring continuous progress toward annual targets. Monitor and manage department budgets. Report on financial performance and operational KPIs to senior leadership.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all department activities comply with industry regulations and internal policies. Identify and support risk mitigation of commercial agreements and operations.

The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for managing engineering and project design activities across various study phases (concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility, EPCM, and EPC). This position will oversee the integration of multidisciplinary design teams, ensure compliance with project scope and technical standards, and provide leadership to ensure project objectives are met safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

The Bike Shop in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Fabrication Lead Tech who will work in the mechanical fabrication shop, executing a variety of mechanical fabrication efforts at an exceptional quality level, while collaborating in a dynamic, fast-paced, integrated team environment. The position interacts daily with fellow support technicians and engineers, to successfully meet the prototype and test manufacturing needs of our internal and external engineering customers.
 
 
Responsibilities to Anticipate:  

• Quick-turn machining of critical prototype, aerospace parts and test assemblies from metal and non-metal materials utilizing precision manual mills and lathes

• Use of general machine shop tools and support equipment including the use of typical dimensional measuring tools

• Work with basic sketches and, underdeveloped drawing packages as well as model renderings

• Responsible for all aspects of fabrication including part/machine setup, safe equipment operation, part inspection, managing their workload, supporting customers’ schedules, delegating, and coordinating work when required

• Work in a multi-program-controlled area.
