We are a full-service fire alarm & suppression supply and service company based in Riverdale, NJ for over 25 years. Our company is one of the largest fire protection companies offering high quality industrial and commercial fire protection systems and services. We are seeking a new Estimator to join our rapidly growing Estimating Team. In this role, you will include compiling any and all information needed to complete a takeoff, building a bill of material that best covers the scope of work, and generating comprehensive proposals that clearly state the scope of work covered in our pricing. As a member of the Estimating Team, you will consult with the Engineering department, Field engineers, Project Managers, and other Estimating Team members to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues and report directly to the Estimating Manager. 


The Estimator is responsible for the following:

·       Analyze blueprints, specifications, and technical documents to gain a thorough understanding of the project in order to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

·       Partner collaboratively with cross-functional teams (design engineering, Productions, Sales, finance, etc.) to understand requirements and ensure alignment to scope, schedule, and budget.

·       Build a project Binder that consists of all documentation used to complete a take-off.

·       Generate a proposal that includes the labor and materials needed to cover the scope of work gained from a completed take-off.

Responsibilities Responsibilities will include the following: Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of industrial pump systems.

(diesel, electric, vacuum, centrifugal, and submersible) Ability to work independently in performing repairs and maintenance, strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electronics Troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and efficiently, analytical ability to find solutions to difficult technical problems Maintains service records Other duties as required (welding, fabricating, etc.) The available position is shop based and reports to a Shop Supervisor and/or onsite project Superintendent.

Qualifications Two or more years of experience in truck, trailer, and heavy diesel equipment repair and maintenance High school graduate or show equivalent training Efficiently perform electrical and hydraulic diagnostics Applicant must be a self-motivated individual and demonstrate significant attention-to-detail at all times ASE Certification and basic computer skills to perform service reporting are desirable Experience with heavy drill rigs (Klemm, SoilMec, and or Watson) used in geotechnical construction a plus Ability to safely operate basic heavy equipment including forklifts, wheeled front end loaders, and excavators is also a plus Ability to work in a team environment with interpersonal communication skills Ability to perform physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks; to include frequent bending, kneeling and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs Prior OSHA, First Aid, and/or Safety Training preferred Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen.
