Reporting to the Executive Director of Adult & Family Literacy, the Program Manager of Reading for Adults is a reading science specialist, educator, and curriculum developer who advances Literacy Partners' two-generation mission through high-quality instruction and a strong volunteer-supported model. This role provides high level Adult Education instruction and trains volunteers to provide tutoring. Additionally, the Program Manager of Reading for Adults analyzes program data to improve literacy outcomes, curriculum, optimize volunteer impact, and drive continuous program enhancement.

Key responsibilities

Lead Reading for Adults (RFA) Instruction

  • Serve as the lead instructor for emergent adult readers, delivering explicit, systematic reading science instruction that drives measurable growth in decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Classes are conducted virtually.
  • Design a virtual classroom culture that honors dignity, builds academic confidence, and positions adult learners as capable scholars and caregivers.
  • Own learner progress—using assessment, progress monitoring, and data to refine instruction and move students toward GED, workforce, civics and postsecondary pathways.

Co-Build the Instructional Engine

  • Member of the RFA curriculum design team, developing a clear scope and sequence aligned to reading science and adult learning theory.

Compensation: $80-95k base salary + performance bonus eligibility

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Project Manager to help drive the day-to-day execution of company operations. This role serves as the execution engine of the team — ensuring tasks are tracked, projects move forward efficiently, and internal workflows remain organized and accountable. Working closely with leadership, you will oversee both internal operations and client travel projects in a high-touch, service-first environment. Additionally, this role will oversee the implementation of CRM and AI platforms needed to enhance the efficiency of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • – Own and maintain the company's internal task and project management systems
  • – Maintain the internal operational tracker and ensure tasks are properly assigned and progressing

  • – Coordinate timelines across internal initiatives and client travel projects
  • – Monitor deliverables and proactively flag delays or bottlenecks before they impact outcomes
  • – Maintain operational documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • – Ensure clear and consistent communication across team members and departments
  • – Lead weekly operations meetings and diligently track action items and follow-ups
  • – Implement and maintain CRM and AI platform tools necessary for the company's operating systems

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • – Proven track record as a Project Manager with demonstrable results
  • – Prior experience in hospitality, luxury travel, concierge services, or a comparable high-service industry is required
  • – 2–4 years of project management experience in operations, consulting, hospitality, or startup environments
  • – Exceptionally organized with acute attention to detail
  • – Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects across diverse stakeholders
  • – Strong communicator with sharp problem-solving instincts
  • – A proactive self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-expectation environments
