Position Overview


Oliveda is seeking a highly skilled Radio Frequency (RF) Physicist with a strong background in electromagnetic theory, RF system design, and signal analysis. This role focuses on developing and analyzing advanced RF technologies and hardware. Key Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced electromagnetic theory to design and optimize RF systems and components.

The MEP Systems Engineer will be responsible for the detailed design and implementation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and PV systems tailored for modular construction building systems. This role requires a deep understanding of MEP systems combined with practical experience in modular construction. You will collaborate closely with leadership, crossfunctional design and engineering teams to integrate all technical and user experience requirements into our designs to ensure optimal functionality, sustainability, and compliance with all regulations.


What You'll Do


  • Design and develop integrated MEP systems for our new and existing designs including  solar energy systems, including PV and ESS, optimized for prefabricated modular construction
  • Ensure that solar and energy storage designs align with overall MEP system functionality and building energy requirements
  • Lead the creation of comprehensive design documents, schematics, component material selections and system layouts, preferably using CAD and BIM software
  • Provide technical leadership during the installation and commissioning phases to ensure systems meet design specifications and performance standards
  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure functionality, efficiency, and safety of both MEP and PV installations
  • Collaborate closely with installation teams to facilitate seamless and efficient factory and onsite implementation of design

What We're Looking For


  • Modular construction experience in factory builds, multi-mod, stackable and/or other hands on related experience.
  • Licensed Electrician or Mechanical Contractor -and/or- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in one of the following: Mechanical, Electrical, Solar and/or Plumbing System design
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability practices relevant to MEP and renewable energy systems
  • Proficiency in design software such as Onshape, Revit, and/or other BIM methodologies preferred

Job Summary:

At Cognichip, we’re not just building AI - we’re redefining what’s possible at the nexus of silicon design and machine learning. As a Staff AI Chip Design Engineer, you will be the hands-on builder, fusing chip design expertise with ML to create the foundational blocks of our autonomous design flow.

In this role, you won’t just design chips, you will create the libraries, IP and benchmarks that teach our AI how to design chips. You will work alongside a cross-functional team of world-class engineers and researchers to translate hardware logic into artificial chip intelligence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with ML and Software teams as a key hardware domain expert, translating complex silicon constraints into actionable insights for model training and agentic design
  • Develop high-quality RTL libraries, IP blocks and processor designs that serve as training data and composable parts of our environment
  • Build and maintain an ecosystem of benchmarks and reference designs used to evaluate and increase the design velocity of our tools
  • Execute and refine novel chip design methodologies, from architectural specs to synthesized netlists to complete bitstreams to identify where AI can optimize the flow
  • Generate and curate massive datasets of syntactic and semantic hardware code to improve model robustness
  • Implement robust verification environments, writing the SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and assertions with our tools that ensure our generated designs are correct-by-construction


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Masters in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field
  • 12+ years of experience in RTL design, or a combination of design and verification
  • Experience with AMD/Xilinx (Vivado, Vitis) and Altera/Intel (Quartus) ecosystems or ASIC physical design chains, including SoC and IP integrations
  • Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols (Ethernet, PCIe, CXL, DDR5, NoC)
  • Experience with hands-on debugging - simulators, waveform viewing, coverage collection
