Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Field Services Engineer (RAPT-TR) based in Fort Carson, CO. The Field Services Engineer will be responsible for delivering comprehensive on-site technical support and support all Unit exercises as required (CONUS and OCONUS) performing equipment troubleshooting, conducting preventive maintenance, and addressing customer service requests. Experience with the family of waveforms, including but not limited to, Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS), Second generation Anti-jam Tactical UHF Radio for NATO (SATURN), Very High Frequency/Ultra High Frequency (VHF/UHF) Line of Sight (VULOS), Warrior Robust Enhanced Network (WREN) Narrowband (NB), Tactical Scalable Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET), the Tactical Scalable Mobile (TSM) and WREN-TSM, Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), and Radio Services products including the enterprise Over the Air Management (eOTAM); Software Defined Radio (SDR) the Leader Radio, Manpack, and Combat Net Radio (CNR) Tactical radios and radio requirements. Additionally, Knowledge and understanding of Communications Security (COMSEC) requirements for waveforms and SDR systems mentioned above. Responsibilities: Oversee the production process, drawing up a production schedule and ensuring that it is adhered to.

Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through the implementation of change management processes and best practices.

Optimize resource utilization by implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.

Ensure that the production is cost-effective and monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed.

Work closely with the supply chain team to manage raw material inventory to ensure uninterrupted production.

Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators for tracking and reporting the performance of the production function.

Implement and manage a Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) system to ensure the smooth functioning of the production line.

Ensure that all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines.

Implement and manage the ISO standards applicable to the manufacturing process.

Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.

Work collaboratively with other departments to align strategies and decisions across various projects, departments, and systems.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing management role.

Proven track record of successfully implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing and process improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, etc.

Strong knowledge of MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) systems.

Experience with ISO standards in the manufacturing industry.

Excellent project management skills.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions in challenging situations and handle pressure.

Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
