Position Title: Environmental Services Manager

Position Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Environmental Services Manager to lead environmental compliance and consulting services focused on stormwater management and air quality regulations. This role supports State, Local, Education (SLED), and Federal clients, delivering high‐quality environmental programs that ensure regulatory compliance, operational sustainability, and risk mitigation.

The Environmental Services Manager will oversee environmental compliance programs, manage and mentor technical teams, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients and regulatory agencies. This is an opportunity for a strategic environmental leader with deep regulatory expertise to guide complex compliance initiatives and contribute to impactful, mission‐driven projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Environmental Compliance & Program Management

• Lead environmental compliance programs related to stormwater and air quality regulations for industrial and government facilities
• Ensure compliance with EPA, state environmental agencies, and federal regulations, including the Clean Water Act (CWA) and Clean Air Act (CAA)
• Develop, implement, and maintain Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans
• Oversee NPDES permitting, compliance monitoring, sampling, and regulatory reporting
• Manage Title V and minor source air permits, emissions standards, and compliance requirements

Stormwater Management

• Lead stormwater compliance programs for industrial and government sites
• Conduct site inspections, outfall monitoring, and stormwater sampling
• Develop corrective action plans and implement Best Management Practices (BMPs)
• Support stormwater infrastructure planning, including drainage systems, retention ponds, and treatment systems
• Prepare Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) and other regulatory documentation

Air Quality Management

• Manage air quality permitting and compliance programs
• Prepare air emission inventories and regulatory reports
• Coordinate stack testing, emissions monitoring, and compliance audits
• Implement pollution control strategies and continuous compliance improvement initiatives

Government Contract Support (SLED & Federal)

• Support environmental services contracts with state agencies, municipalities, universities, and federal organizations
• Ensure projects meet contract requirements, regulatory standards, and reporting deliverables
• Coordinate with contracting officials and agency representatives
• Contribute to proposal development and technical documentation for government bids

Leadership & Project Management

• Manage and mentor environmental technicians, scientists, and consultants
• Oversee environmental projects from planning through completion
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables
• Provide technical guidance and foster professional development within the team
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and compliance stakeholders

Client Engagement & Advisory

• Serve as a primary environmental compliance advisor for clients
• Conduct environmental assessments and compliance audits
• Present technical findings and compliance strategies to clients and regulators
• Develop long‐term environmental compliance and sustainability strategies

Required Skills / Education:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in environmental compliance with a focus on stormwater and air quality programs
• Proven experience working with EPA, state environmental agencies, and environmental permitting processes
• Strong working knowledge of:
• Clean Water Act (CWA)
• Clean Air Act (CAA)
• NPDES permitting
• SWPPP development and implementation

The Safety Manager (SM) is responsible for implementing the company’s efforts in the following areas: Safety Management Systems, Risk Management and Loss Reductions, Safety Audits, and Safety Training. The SM would assist with task pertaining to Fleet Operations.

Reports to: Director of Corporate Safety, the Director of Field Operations, Superintendents, Project Executives and Project Managers to assure that the company’s safety policies and procedures are implemented.

Responsibilities and Duties

Safety Management Systems

• Participate as a member of the MTG Safety and Accident Committee
• Provide field observations and suggestions regarding the corporate safety policies and Corporate Safety Plan
• Assist project superintendents and project managers in the development of Job Specific Safety Plans
• Develop Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA’s) based on the intended work

Risk Management and Loss Reduction

• Provide field observations and suggestions regarding opportunities to prevent injuries and accidents, improve safety performance and lower insurance costs
• Assist with: claims handling and their resolution; injuries and perform accident investigations and development of related reports
• Assist in returning and monitoring the progress of injured employees as they perform modified duty on our projects
• Implement record keeping requirements
• Review and confirm current insurance certificates for Subcontractors intended to and/or currently working on our projects to assure compliance

Safety Audits

• Conduct assigned safety audits
• Provide immediate input, advice and direction to resolve and mitigate potential hazardous conditions and assure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements
• Provide daily Predictive Solutions (PS) reports of field audit observations after completion of the audit and provide the appropriate corrective action information to those included in the PS distribution lists
• Assist the project supervisory team to review upcoming work areas to preplan and determine if unidentified safety concerns need to be addressed before work begins
• Follow-up with subcontractor safety representatives to assure that all mitigating actions have been taken, issues have been addressed and resolved, and closed out on the PS audit program
• Assist in OSHA project inspections
• Assure that project safety files & logs are maintained and kept up to date
• Supervise the implementation of SDS communications program
• Assure that all safety signs and safety equipment are adequately supplied to assigned project sites
• Provide support and technical advice to project supervisory team on all safety matters
• Assist with the annual respiratory protection program needs and duties

Safety Training

• Provide Safety-Training program
• Assist in scheduling and logistics for specific training programs
• Perform jobsite employee training as needed
• Attend and assist during weekly Contractor and Subcontractor Foreman meetings, scheduled safety meetings, and preparatory meetings as needed and/or as requested
• Participate in and conduct specific training programs and maintain required certifications
• Assist with the system in place to maintain accurate records of employee Safety-Training and certifications

Required Education

• HS Diploma

Preferred Education

• A degree in Safety and Health or related field is preferred.

Required Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in applying safety standards, regulations and procedures as it relates to manuals, audits, reports, checklists, etc. for a general contractor, subcontractor, or related engineering or environmental health and safety consulting firm.
• Previous experience working within the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, USACE EM385-1-1 Safety & Health Standards, and other federal, state, local or special customer regulations that govern building construction and safety requirements.

In this hands-on role, you will work closely with the local team to prepare, install, and service a wide range of monitoring equipment in diverse environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Summary

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the candidate will perform field and office-based tasks aligned with company policies, standards, and best practices. You’ll also contribute to project success by providing quality control support, observations, and technical recommendations to the project team.

Main Responsibilities

· Install and maintain the performance of various geotechnical and structural monitoring instruments following Sixense procedures, including but not limited to datalogging systems, Vibration Monitors, Noise Monitors and Automatic Motorized Total Stations.

· Assembling instrumentation and Automatic Data Acquisition Systems (ADAS).

· Operation of power tools and hand tools (hammer drill, Sawzall, wrenches, etc.)

· Performing the configuration of the Data Management System.

· Basic understanding of heavy construction means and methods.

Associates that are considered full-time hourly or commission/incentive eligible:

• To earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year accrued on a per pay period basis and between 80 hours and 200 hours per year of vacation time after a 90 day waiting period depending on years of continuous service with the Company. 
• For 8 hours of pay for each of a total of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday.  If such an Associate does work on a scheduled holiday due to business need, they are eligible for Holiday Premium Pay.
