We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and high-performance building requirements.

About the Role

This role requires strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of construction processes, and experience with energy-efficient, high-performance, or Passive House (PHIUS) construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction site operations, ensuring adherence to project schedules and milestones.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to coordinate work activities and resolve issues.
• Review blueprints and construction documents to ensure accurate implementation of design intent, including high-performance envelope and air-sealing details.
• Oversee implementation of Passive House / PHIUS standards, including air barrier continuity, thermal bridge mitigation, insulation detailing, and window/door installation best practices.
• Coordinate blower door testing, envelope inspections, and other quality control measures required for high-performance building certification.
• Ensure strict compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Utilize software tools such as Procore, MS Project, and Prolog for project management and documentation.
• Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure workmanship meets project specifications and sustainability goals.
• Manage vendor and subcontractor contracts, ensuring scope compliance and performance standards are achieved.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff on construction practices, safety protocols, and high-performance building standards.
• Prepare regular reports on project progress, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 7–10 years of construction management experience, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role.
• Proven experience in residential and commercial construction, particularly in urban settings.
• Experience with Passive House, PHIUS, or other high-performance building standards strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of building science principles, including air sealing, thermal continuity, moisture management, and energy modeling coordination.
• Experience coordinating envelope testing (e.g., blower door testing) and working with HERS raters or PHIUS verifiers is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal building regulations.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation.
• Experience using construction management software such as Procore or Prolog is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for engaging clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.

The Role:

SMK is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to coordinate and supervise a diverse portfolio of contracts, primarily in the infrastructure field (highway/bridge or transit). The ideal candidate should have experience in Civil and Structural construction projects as well as having experience in general construction methodologies, disciplines and procedures.

The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional with a strong background in civil and structural infrastructure projects who excels in a client-facing, consulting-oriented environment. They possess the ability to clearly visualize construction sequencing and phasing and to lead the development of thoughtful, practical build strategies that balance feasibility, risk, schedule, and cost.

They are comfortable managing project-level internal teams that may include estimators, schedulers, and assistant project managers, providing direction and coordination to ensure project objectives are executed efficiently and consistently. This individual can bring together work from different team members into clear, consistent deliverables.

The ideal candidate brings strong written communication skills and is experienced in independently authoring professional reports, technical memoranda, and narratives. Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

• Conducting site visits to enforce project requirements while recording project progress and assisting in the resolution of field issues.
• Preparing and reviewing submittals, RFIs and other official project correspondence.
• Attending and leading project issues, progress and change order negotiation meetings.
• Performing reviews of design documents for: (1) Compliance with project requirements; (2) Interdisciplinary coordination; (3) Analysis of conceptual feasibility and review for fatal flaws.
• Reviewing design plans and specifications to: (1) Propose means and methods build strategies with phasing and sequencing in report format; (2) Evaluate constructability, risk, delay, and cost overrun mitigation.
• Ability to develop and manage the development of: (1) Construction cost estimates; (2) Claim reviews and performing change order analysis; (3) Schedules using Primavera P6 and phasing methodology for construction activities; (4) Reviews on contractor schedule updates, time impact analyses and recovery efforts while proposing solutions to scheduling issues.
• Performing and presenting Risk Assessments and Value Engineering studies.
• Monitoring and tracking SMK project budgets.
• Assisting in the development and preparation of scope and fee proposals to clients.
• Supervising and mentoring entry level project management staff.

• 5+ years experience with concrete placement, earth support systems, deep foundation construction, marine construction, structural steel erection, structural demolition, highway construction, drainage system construction, Interstate Highway traffic controls, environmental protection systems and field survey/layout.
• Required proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience with HCSS, Bid2Win, and/or Estimating Link
• Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Additional Employment Information:

• Annual starting salary of $120,000 to $160,000, dependent on experience.

General Summary of Position:

As a NOC Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining our clients' network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise in SD-WAN networking and firewall management will be essential in proactively identifying and resolving network issues and implementing appropriate solutions. The ability to work independently and effectively manage a ticket queue is crucial to ensure timely response and resolution of network-related incidents. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Remotely troubleshoot managed service-related issues on support calls with Granite customers and/or field technicians

Required Qualifications:

The Manager of Information Security leads Granite's enterprise security program, ensuring the protection of corporate systems, applications, cloud platforms, and data across the entire business.
