Job Summary

The Steam Plant Manager will be a key member of the Seattle team, reporting directly to the General Manager. This position is responsible for all Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the steam plant. The Steam Plant Manager will maintain adequate staffing, tools, equipment, and spare parts to support continuous operations, while providing effective leadership and strategic planning to achieve business and performance objectives.

Core Responsibilities

• Provides first line management and supervision for all plant supervisory and maintenance personnel.
• Oversee the implementation of strategic plans, programming, and steam plant production strategies, to ensure the reliable and economic delivery of steam to customers.
• Plan and organize all facets of the day-to-day operations to meet short- and long-range goals and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and company policies and operating procedures.
• Ensures that operation and maintenance activities generally conform to fiscal, budgetary, planning objectives and assist with the development of budgets and/or capital planning.
• Supervise plant personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
• Manage and oversee the operation, maintenance and repairs of associated infrastructure systems, such as water supply, natural gas, electrical, steam and condensate.
• Assist in the creation of short and long-term operating plans that include projections for fuel, electricity, and water use, maintenance plans, and capital plans.
• Analyzes department operations, implements and executes optimized economic operating plans, and makes recommendations for significant operational improvements as appropriate.
• Oversee the implementation of safety and environmental programs, to include training and reporting, to ensure departmental compliance with established safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Responsible for the management of outside vendors and contractors
• Participates in the development of objectives and policies designed to maximize efficiency and economy in the operation of equipment and production services.
• Oversee the implementation of major and minor renovation, renewal, and capital projects.
• May serve on various company planning and policy making committees.
• Partner with HR to ensure that the CBA is followed.
• May be required to travel for training and/or other company business. This includes travel by private automobile, commercial airlines, and other public transportation.
• Will be required to effectively interface with regulatory, business and customer representatives consistent with CenTrio corporate objectives.

Professional Experience & Knowledge:

Technical Skills & Requirements:

• City of Seattle Steam Engineer’s license or the demonstrated ability to obtain one within one year of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree, High School diploma or GED Equivalent, and a minimum of 5-years of full-time supervisory experience within a steam plant
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
• Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
• Skilled in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking multiple Machinist Assemblers Precision to join our Machinist departments in either Seattle, WA or Tukwila, WA.

Machinists in this position participate in the design, fabrication and assembly of various production and research projects. Using a variety of precision machines (e.g., lathes, grinders, EDM, CNC and milling machines) to support aircraft engineering and production groups.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform bench work (e.g., drilling, honing, tapping, reaming) on production and experimental parts, as required
• Assemble parts using rivets and bolts with correct tools such as rivet squeeze, lock bolt puller, rivet gun and bucking bar, power screwdriver, or ratchet per engineering requirements
• Lay-out, plan and sequence machining operation
• Analyze and interpret drawings, sketches, blueprints and verbal instructions to determine work to be performed on detailed precision parts (e.g., aircraft castings, fixtures, tools, shop aids)
• Use shop math, geometry and/or trig to calculate dimensions
• Determine/obtain raw material to be used (e.g., brass, aluminum, steel, composites, and wood) for machining or fabrication per drawing or customer requirements
• Set up operate and adjust all common machine tools (e.g., lathe, mill, bridgeport, electrical discharge machine (EDM), drill press) to accomplish work on precision assemblies
• Select machine to be used in machining process
• Check machine to be used for missing, loose, damaged equipment, check oil and coolant levels and fill, as required
• Write programs as required for multi axis machines
• Adjust machine settings (e.g., speeds and feeds) to correct machining problems or to prepare machine for next operation in sequence
• Perform minor editing of CNC programs per shop requirements

• Attach machine accessories, tools and shop aides using dial indicators, edge finders, wrenches, bolts, clamps, and overhead cranes
• Monitor machine during operation for unusual vibration or sounds, watch machine gauges and controller display or digital readout for warnings, visually check cutter path, clearance and chips to ensure smooth operation
• Check work with precision instruments (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges) and ensure parts are free from defects (e.g., finish, dimensions, mismatch, tool marks) and complete per drawing, sketch or verbal instructions
• Assemble, fit, check, test of developmental machine parts and assemblies to customer specification
• Troubleshoot and test precision assemblies with working groups (e.g., engineering, production, inspection, manufacturing resource & development (MRD)) to resolve tooling/production problems
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials (e.g., coolants, solvents) in approved manner (per Material Safety Data Sheets) using personal protective equipment, as required
• Maintain personal tool certifications, as required
• Ability to use computers and knowledge and ability to use MSWord, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Boeing is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician and Inspector, who holds an active secret or higher security clearance, to perform maintenance, preventative maintenance and alterations on production during and post flight test activities in support of our KC-46 Tanker in Tukwila, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, service aircraft and engine systems to prepare aircraft for flight.
• Perform Quality functions such as Customer and DCMA Coordination, Configuration Change Verification, Conformity Inspections, Airworthiness Inspections (including Pre-flight and Post-flights), Corrective Action and Investigations.
• Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.
• Perform Aviation Maintenance Technician Inspector tasks in order to obtain and maintain knowledge, skills and required certifications.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience with military, airline or certificated repair station background.
• This position requires an individual when working at heights to utilize fall protection equipment that has weight limitations.
• Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Prefer a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate preferred. Please note your certificate number on your resume if you are certified.
• Preferred experience in and/or education in Flight Controls, Avionics electronics/systems, and Analysis.

About the Job:

The Superintendent leads, directs, and coordinates the work of subcontractors and/or Venture trade labor. The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality of work performed, and adherence to project budget. They must develop a positive company reputation with the client and community; as a partner with the project management team, they are the senior onsite company representatives. They must commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes and making necessary changes, using customer input to make improvements and meeting and exceeding internal and external customer expectations. The Superintendent has supervisory responsibility for Assistant Superintendents and trade labor in their area of responsibility.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead, direct, and coordinate the work of subcontractors and Venture trade labor
• Maintain onsite responsibility for safety, schedule delivery, quality of work performed, and budget
• Evaluate project-related processes and make improvements and meet internal and external customer expectations
• Ability to develop and update short interval and CPM schedules
• Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents and others as assigned, including participating in performance appraisals and career development
• Manage the relationship with all authorities with jurisdiction over the project; conduct all inspections.
• Efficiently enforce strict safety protocols and unwavering adherence to company policies, always ensuring a secure and compliant job site.
• Oversee and enforce compliance with Venture’s Safety Program, ensuring subcontractor adherence to safety standards, codes, and regulations, while promoting a strong safety culture on-site.
• Supervise project safety, ensuring crews use required safety equipment per OSHA/WHSA regulations, and collaborate with safety field managers to conduct weekly safety audits.
• Assist in the management of the billing process as it relates to work in place and overseeing the monthly estimate of work, completed payrolls, material invoices and subcontractor payment applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline preferred but not required or recent construction experience, expressly wood framed projects
• 15 years of Construction Management experience minimum.
• 10 years of Supervisory experience minimum.
• LEED AP and OSHA 30 certifications preferred.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Project, and Procore or equivalent software.
• Proven success directing the work of others including subcontractors and suppliers.
• Working knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower.
• Knowledge of RFIs, RFPs, and Cos that affect contract work.
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills with a variety of individuals and groups, owners and owners’ representative, subcontractors, jobsite teams, and Venture personnel.
