Manufacturing and Supplier Quality

  • Oversee incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and final product testing for electronic and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Establish quality standards and acceptance criteria for components, subassemblies, and finished products.
  • Monitor production quality metrics and identify trends to drive improvement.
  • Work with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure supplier quality performance meets expectations.
  • Lead supplier corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in supplier audits and qualification processes.

Quality Management System

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with CUES standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure documented procedures, work instructions, and quality records are maintained and followed.
  • Lead internal and external quality audits and coordinate corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement / Problem Solving

  • Drive initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, and rework in manufacturing processes.
  • Partner with operations and engineering teams on process improvements, yield optimization, and product reliability enhancements.
  • Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Act as the primary quality contact for customers regarding quality concerns and product issues.
  • Manage customer complaints and ensure prompt investigation and resolution.
  • Participate in customer audits and quality reviews.

Team Management / KPI Reporting

  • Lead and develop the quality inspection and quality engineering team.
  • Provide training and coaching on quality standards, procedures, and tools.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Track and report on key quality metrics including:
  • First Pass Yield
  • Defect Rates
  • Cost of Poor Quality
  • Supplier Quality Performance
  • Customer Returns / RMAs
  • Present quality performance updates to leadership and recommend improvement actions.
