Job Description
Uncommon High School Math teachers work in grade teams and content teams to push students towards being self-guided learners. Our teachers become experts in their course content, and have a keen sense of how to motivate and inspire high school students. At the heart of all math classes is a deep joy for mathematics. Math teachers use a variety of instructional strategies to cultivate student awareness of how to make sense of, persevere through, and solve problems. At the conclusion of high school, students are prepared for academic autonomy and college preparatory work.
Responsibilities
1. Instruction
- You'll use a Math curriculum to teach content that may include Algebra, Geometry, or Calculus and prepares students for Advanced Placement (AP) and collegiate level coursework.

Teacher certification is not a prerequisite for consideration at Uncommon Schools in the state of NJ, but you do need to meet NJ state certification eligibility requirements (a final undergraduate or graduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 for graduates on or after 9/1/16, or 2.75 if you graduated prior to 9/1/16). All instructional staff are required to become certified in the state of New Jersey within a reasonable period after beginning employment.

Compensation
Compensation for this role is between $56,000 to $80,000.
Starting pay is determined using various factors including but not limited to relevant full-time teaching experience, education certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. Candidates without full-time Teaching experience will likely have a starting salary of $56,000.

Position Summary
The Electrical Engineer II plays a lead role in the design and execution of building electrical systems across multiple client projects. This position works closely with the Project Engineer, PMs, and design team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
For licensed Professional Engineers, this role may include serving as Engineer of Record and signing/sealing drawings as required. This position offers a strong growth path into Project Management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical system design in coordination with the Project Engineer
Perform engineering calculations, short circuit analysis, and electrical load studies
Develop single-line diagrams and size electrical components and equipment
Prepare technical specifications and construction documents
Review and ensure drawings comply with federal, state, local, NEC, and IBC codes
Conduct site surveys, energy audits, and provide field construction support

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, fully-remote, Estimator with a strong background in multifamily wood-frame construction to support a growing pipeline of projects across southern New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia area. This individual will play a key role in preconstruction, working closely with internal teams and subcontractors to develop accurate, competitive project estimates.
This is a 5-day a week remote role with travel to South Jersey at least once a month.
The ideal candidate will bring not only technical estimating expertise, but also established relationships with subcontractors and vendors in the Southern New Jersey market.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for multifamily construction projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
- Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor bids
