Field Service Engineer
Job Description
We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer who thrives in dynamic environments and takes pride in ensuring equipment performs safely, efficiently, and exactly to spec.
What You’ll Do
• Lead on-site start-up, commissioning, and optimization of mechanical and electrical systems
• Conduct detailed equipment checks and verify system readiness for customer operations
• Analyze performance data to ensure peak equipment efficiency
• Deliver hands-on and classroom training to customer teams with clear lesson plans
• Diagnose and repair equipment issues in the field
• Provide detailed field markups to support engineering “as-built” revisions
• Oversee vendors, contractors, and project activities to meet timelines
• Conduct site inspections, troubleshoot challenges, and uphold high-quality standards
• Create clear technical reports and punch lists for project closeouts
What We’re Looking For
• Engineering or technical background (degree preferred; equivalent experience considered)
• 5+ years of field service experience working with mechanical, electrical, and high‑speed rotating equipment
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
• Experience with control panels, motor starters, AC/DC drives, and instrumentation
• Familiarity with programmable controllers and operator interface terminals
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to manage projects, build customer rapport, and problem-solve in real time
• Willingness to travel extensively—up to 75%, including long‑term domestic and international assignments
