Job Description:
Assemblers/Testers perform sub and final assembly of a variety of products, often using assembly jigs and fixtures to maintain tolerances. They work from drawings, routing sheets and work instructions to follow the specific methods and procedures of each assembly and can use hand tools and/or simple machine tools to perform operations and assembly functions. Testing requires the set up and monitoring of automated assembly or test equipment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, ideally with some experience with the assembly of machined components. Strong candidates will be trained.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

This role supports the production and continuous improvement of miniature solenoid valve products used in highly demanding applications.
The engineer in this position will play a key role in developing and improving manufacturing processes, supporting new product introductions, and driving process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the procurement, buy-out, and management of subcontractors, suppliers/vendors to ensure subcontract /vendor agreements capture required quality related scope of work.
- Prepare and submit accurate Quality Control project status project reports.
- Manage project submittal process to ensure timely receipt, review and approval of submittals and shop drawings, as-builts, and other required documentation.
- Actively participate in RFI process to ensure timely receipt, review, response close out.
- Monitor project work for any non-compliance issues and ensure corrective measures are approved, executed and closed out with documented acceptance.
- Manage project close-out including, timely management of punch list, commissioning, and transitional system operations turnover.
Qualifications:
- Four-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent combination of technical training and relevant experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of documented experience performing in a construction quality control management role on a heavy civil construction rail project.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction industry practices and standards, as well as experience with supervision, estimating, scheduling, budget preparation, and project status reporting.
- Experience utilizing project management software systems.
- Currently possess or can attain the NETTCP Quality Assurance Technologist and USACE Construction Quality Manager Certification.

Key Responsibilities
Test Development & Validation
- Create and implement structured test plans, procedures, and scripts to verify hardware and firmware requirements.

The Automation Controls Engineer is integral to the design, commissioning, and continued support of automated assembly and test equipment. Ideal candidates will have a well-rounded knowledge of the design of automated manufacturing systems and a strong ability to program Allen-Bradley PLCs to interface with robots, servos, solenoid valves, vision systems, process control sensors, conveyors, and other components. What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
- 5+ years of experience with the design, fabrication, and commissioning of automated assembly and test equipment, specifically in the discipline of electrical controls.
- An advanced level of skill programming Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLCs from blank projects in ladder logic.
- A well demonstrated knowledge of all I/O interfacing types (Digital, Analog, Fieldbus, Ethernet, Serial) and the evaluation and selection process for them.

- Work with vendors on the electrical design and review phases of projects to ensure conformance to applicable company standards.

- Develop testing procedures to verify vendor PLC code, HMI screen integrity, and Alarm management to minimize potential downtime after delivery.
Existing equipment in production:
- Install new hardware and perform modifications on existing equipment software to improve reliability, increase throughput or accommodate new assembly steps.
- Become an expert on existing machinery to assist with troubleshooting when required.
- Participate in quality validation procedures using statistical methods such as Gage R&R, and Process Capability & Performance.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Permanent Senior Weld Manufacturing Engineer. This position is an integral part of our manufacturing operations and offers a unique opportunity to be involved in a wide range of processes and technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving welding processes and procedures to enhance product quality and productivity. This role requires a deep understanding of various welding techniques, including laser and robotic welding, and the ability to utilize CAD, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks software.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and improve welding processes and procedures to enhance product quality and productivity.
- Utilize CAD, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks to design and develop welding fixtures and tooling.
- Lead the implementation of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes for welding operations.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize welding processes and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, quality, and reliability issues.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on welding techniques and procedures.
- Conduct root cause analysis of welding defects and implement corrective actions.
- Manage welding equipment maintenance and calibration to ensure optimal performance.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in welding technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in weld manufacturing engineering.
- Proven experience with CAD, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
- Excellent knowledge of laser and robotic welding techniques.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is a plus.
