Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Applying engineering design standards, codes, and criteria, including conducting code analysis
- Producing complete and accurate construction drawings and specifications for electrical systems within facilities
- Designing electrical systems such as:
- Power Distribution
- Lighting Systems
- Lightning Protection
- Communications Infrastructure
- Performing electrical calculations using industry-standard software, including:
- ComCheck
- AGI
- SKM
- ETAP
- Reviewing calculations and design concepts prepared by electrical designers and Engineers-in-Training
- Mentoring EITs in their development and pursuit of Professional Engineer licensure
- Coordinating design efforts with project managers, architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines

Education, Experience & Licensure Requirements
Qualified candidates must have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
- A current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States
- Virginia licensure is preferred but not required
Preferred Qualifications

- Registration with NCEES
