JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Facility and Fleet Maintenance is responsible for implementing Sysco’s corporate maintenance programs within a given market or geographic region, including:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintenance of SYGMA's portfolio of industrial and commercial properties. This includes building structures, building systems and utilities, and site improvements.
• Maintenance of SYGMA's fleet of rolling material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, motorized pallet jacks, order pickers, loaders, and utility equipment.
• Maintenance of SYGMA's fleet of over-the-road vehicles in Danville, Indy, Channahon, and Belleville, including tractors, refrigerated trailers, refrigerated trucks, refrigerated vans, automobiles, and utility vehicles.
• Solid line leadership responsibility for the Fleet Manager and Facility Manager at the operating company under the leadership of the local Vice President/General Manager, respectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that the company’s physical assets are maintained at a high degree of readiness to support operations
• Implement rigorous corporate-wide policies and procedures related to planned and unplanned maintenance of assets which will promote work standardization and consistent levels of maintenance across the enterprise.
• Recruit, develop, motivate, and retain top-talent individuals to staff the maintenance organization.
• Participate in the development of relevant job descriptions for hourly maintenance roles.
• Ensure that job description, training programs, and levels of compensation support a logical career path for maintenance associates within the Sysco organization.
• Promote a culture of professionalism at all levels within the maintenance team.
• Implement programs and processes to reduce waste, increase the return on invested capital related to maintenance, and achieve an optimum balance between management of maintenance costs and asset stewardship. Examples include corporate roofing inspection and maintenance program, corporate electrical infrastructure maintenance program, and corporate refrigeration system operation and maintenance program.
• Develop and manage multiple vendor relationships to ensure Sysco’s maintenance program goals are met consistently.
• Encourage wide exposure and aggressive competition for Sysco’s business.
• Within the assigned geographic region, implement and roll out the new computerized maintenance management system or systems (Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)) for the facility and fleet. This system will be used to track assets, parts, and tools. It will also be used to manage planned and unplanned maintenance tasks, manage maintenance labor resources, and procure maintenance parts and consumables. It will integrate effectively with several other Sysco applications and will provide robust analytical tools and reporting of financial and technical information.
• Play a leadership role in the capital planning process, including the multi-year Facility Capital Budget. Review and approve CIP (Customer Investment Policy) requests for maintenance projects and obligations.
• Provide input to senior leadership regarding the condition of Sysco’s physical assets and maintenance programs.
• Must be self-motivated and results-oriented.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelors’ degree in an area of relevant studies such as Industrial Technology, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction required.
• Graduate degree in an area of relevant studies such as Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering Management, or Construction Management preferred.

Experience

• 10 years of relevant experience may be considered instead of a degree.
• 7 years of experience in the area of industrial facility and/or fleet maintenance required. Experience related to the design, construction, maintenance of food distribution centers, food manufacturing plants, and/or food delivery fleet vehicles is preferred.

Professional Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong ability to read and understand technical documents related to construction and maintenance activities is required including surveys, architectural plans, construction specifications, and technical manuals.
• Strong ability to read and understand legal documents related to construction and maintenance activities is required including service contracts, construction contracts, and leases.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking skilled Make-Ready Designers (primary focus) and Power Distribution Designers to support engineering programs for major electric and telecom utilities. Ideal candidates bring demonstrated experience in overhead utility pole design, NESC application, clearance assessment, pole loading analysis, and construction package development. Useful design platforms include DDS, Katapult, O-Calc, GIS, MicroStation, AutoCAD, or client-specific drafting systems.

In this role, you will review field/walkout data, evaluate existing attachment conditions, model pole loading, determine make-ready requirements, and prepare accurate construction-ready deliverables. Applicants without utility pole design or distribution engineering experience will not be considered.

Note: This position is remote, but new hires must attend a 2-week paid, in-person orientation at our Perrysburg, OH headquarters.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Execute overhead distribution and make-ready design work orders while meeting quality, time, and budget expectations
• Apply established engineering design standards, NESC requirements, and internal processes
• Perform end-to-end make-ready, joint-use, and/or general distribution design
• Conduct permitting and easement research (pole ownership, ROW, property rights, approvals)
• Collaborate with team members to resolve design challenges and ensure accurate deliverables
• Use design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, DDS, PoleForeman, O-Calc, Katapult, or client systems
• Perform quality control reviews when required
• Support additional duties as assigned

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or higher in engineering, drafting, or a related field is preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in make-ready engineering, joint-use design, or electric power distribution design (3+ years strongly preferred)
• Proven experience in utility pole design, including NESC application, clearance analysis, pole loading concepts, and preparation of construction-ready design packages
• Proficiency with CAD or MicroStation; experience with DDS, Katapult, O-Calc, or similar utility design platforms is strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of power distribution construction practices, with the ability to learn utility-specific proprietary systems efficiently
• Must hold a valid driver’s license, maintain active auto insurance, and pass all required background, drug, and MVR screenings

• Willingness to travel occasionally, including minimal overnight travel when project needs require
• Ability to work a standard Monday–Friday schedule aligned to Eastern Time, with Central/Mountain/Pacific adjustments as appropriate

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to work for extended periods using a computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone

Role Overview

As a Patient Support Nurse at CareSimple, you will serve as a key liaison between our patients and clinical partners. You’ll build ongoing relationships with patients, conduct proactive outreach, monitor and respond to patient-generated health data alerts, and provide compassionate clinical guidance to help patients stay engaged and safe between provider visits. You’ll also guide patients through onboarding and device setup, address questions and concerns, and escalate clinical issues as needed. Utilizing our support ticket system, you will manage key logistics processes to ensure seamless delivery and support for remote monitoring devices, playing a critical role in the success of our RPM programs.

Responsibilities

• Patient Support & Care: Guide patients through initial onboarding and setup of their RPM devices with empathy and professionalism. Provide ongoing patient care touchpoints — answering clinical questions, offering health education, and supporting patient engagement and adherence throughout the monitoring program.
• Patient Alert Management: Monitor incoming patient health data alerts generated by RPM devices (e.g., out-of-range vitals, missed readings). Assess alert severity, apply clinical judgment to determine appropriate response, and take action following established protocols and clinical judgement, whether that’s direct patient outreach, care coordination, or escalation to the provider team.
• Technical Coordination: Provide basic troubleshooting for cellular-enabled devices and escalate issues via internal support tickets. Work cross-functionally to ensure timely resolution of technical concerns.
• Device Logistics Oversight: Coordinate device ordering and fulfillment, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Manage exceptions (e.g., reshipments, replacements, returns) and monitor the glucose supply auto-replenishment program. Track high-priority orders and proactively address risks to prevent delays.
• Documentation: Ensure clear and timely documentation across internal systems and, when applicable, in the customer’s EHR.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
• Preferred: Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
• Preferred: Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification
• 5+ years of clinical experience, preferably in telehealth, home health, or primary care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with seniors and underserved populations
• Technologically confident, with the ability to work across multiple platforms (EHR, ticketing, telehealth)
