Responsibilities

As a Sr. Electrical Test Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the avionics engineering team. We develop the wide variety of computing, sensing and actuation, power, and communications systems that are at the core of our automation system. We're looking for a broadly experienced individual to apply their electrical engineering and software automation skills to develop robust test solutions for complex hardware in a safety-critical environment. This is a clean-slate opportunity to grow our primitive test operations into a production worthy operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of automated test equipment systems for functional, environmental qualification, and manufacturing acceptance tests

• Analyze test results to identify failure modes, lead root cause investigations, and drive improvements back into designs

• Author, execute, and audit test plans, procedures, and reports

You will contribute to the navigation system design, implementation, and testing, and your work will enable the integration of uncrewed aircraft into the National Airspace System.

Responsibilities

• Define navigation system requirements in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

• Analyze, source, and select sensor solutions for use in the navigation system

• Develop sensor models in simulation for evaluation of the navigation system

• Implement state estimation algorithms in flight software

• Establish test methods to ensure compliance with requirements, best practices, and regulatory standards

• Evaluate the navigation system performance via simulation, hardware-in-loop, and flight test cases

As a Sr. Harness Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the Vehicle Design and Integration team and will report to the Vehicle Design and Integration Engineering Manager. The harness engineer is a very cross-functional role at the convergence of the avionics, mechanical, integration, and production teams, with significant hands-on work designing, building, integrating, and testing our harnesses, enclosures, and mounting hardware; expect to broaden your design and application experience. This position can be filled locally or hybrid with frequent travel to our facility in Mountain View, California.

Responsibilities

In your role as Sr. Harness Engineer you will work with the avionics, mechanical, and integration teams to define the harness architecture, including routing, bulkhead planning, and manufacturing and integration processes. You'll be responsible for the detailed design of both flight and test harnesses, and you'll be working with the production technicians and A&Ps to get the harnesses built and installed on the aircraft. You'll have the opportunity to design, install, and test your hardware on a remotely operated aircraft, and you'll be an instrumental part of how our hardware teams come together on the airplane.

Basic Success Criteria

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience

• 5+ years experience in electrical harness design

• Ability to route harnessing (both in CAD and physically in the airplane) in a strategic manner

How You'll Contribute:

The Field Engineer is responsible for executing defined commissioning, configuration, and validation tasks on-site, ensuring AV and networked systems meet established baseline standards. This role focuses on developing technical independence, deepening system knowledge, and reinforcing adherence to internal processes and quality expectations. The Field Engineer collaborates with project teams and continues to build troubleshooting and communication skills in live environments.

Travel:

As a Sr. Master Scheduler / Buyer at Reliable Robotics, you'll play a critical role in building relationships with key industry partners/suppliers, driving supplier execution for safety-critical systems, and continuously improving our supply chain processes. You will be part of the Production organization, a growing team of highly motivated professionals passionate about delivering high-quality products and services on time, with unquestionable quality. You will have hands-on responsibility for managing end-to-end supply chain activities, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP), supplier relationship management, procurement, inventory management, and kitting. You will also mitigate supply risks, resolve procurement discrepancies, and drive cost-reduction initiatives while acting as the liaison between engineering, quality, and manufacturing. These responsibilities require a strong understanding of the aerospace/aviation market, business objectives, and supplier capabilities to ensure success. This position requires coordinating with internal customers, managing a complex supplier portfolio, and communicating with leadership to develop, implement, and achieve business objectives. This is a fantastic opportunity to be an integral team member directly contributing to the certification of the first fully autonomous aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Lead MRP master scheduling for non-recurring engineering, formal engineering development, certification, and production projects, including conducting capacity analyses to mitigate short and long-term schedule risks, identify systemic issues, resolve shortages, and develop strategies to enable a healthy supply chain

• Ensure predictable and uninterrupted supply by analyzing MRP messages, managing master data, bill of materials (BOMs), inventory replenishment strategies, and expediting deliveries with suppliers

• Develop and implement strategies to drive supplier selection, qualification, commercial negotiations, contract development, and administration

• Conduct comprehensive supplier analysis, including business/financial, capabilities, capacity, quality, throughput, technical capability, and risk assessments

• Prepare, issue, and analyze request for quote (RFQ) / request for proposal (RFP) packages, evaluate quotes, translate engineering requirements into clear requests, negotiate with suppliers, place purchase orders, resolve invoice issues, and manage constraints and supplier performance

• Develop sustainable relationships with our partners, suppliers, or distributors

• Drive cost savings through leveraging volume pricing agreements with suppliers

• Develop and mature internal supply chain policies, procedures, and instructions

• Develop, monitor, and continuously improve key supplier performance indicators and manage supplier improvement plans

• Root-cause systemic supply chain issues, leading cross-functional teams to implement permanent fixes, facilitate assembly/integration alignment discussions, and drive blocker resolution

Basic Success Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Law, or Engineering

• 6+ years of demonstrated experience in supply chain management, contracts/subcontracts, legal, or engineering

• 3+ years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems

• Ability to ramp up quickly on new concepts, technologies, and opportunities, and a passion for solving hard problems with analysis and creativity

Preferred Success Criteria

• Experience with quality systems (e.g. AS9100, ISO9001, or FAA Parts Manufacturing Approval)

• Experience in lean manufacturing, just-In-time (JIT), kanban, or other purchasing and inventory management strategies
