Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work directly with engineering, production and operation in a hardware-focused fashion to streamline builds while reducing variation and non-conformances.

DUTIES
Analyze and interpret clearly complex blueprints, GD&T, 3D Models, manufacturing parameters, specifications, Special Manufacturing requirements, and associated documentation including all commercial and private specifications and drawings.
Research and apply all applicable MIL, AMS, ASTM, QQ, and customer-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
1) Process Development (In-House)
a. Design, develop, and validate in-house manufacturing processes, including assembly, labeling,
packaging, and testing.
b. Create process documentation such as work instructions, manufacturing travelers, and
validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ).
c. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and yield.
d. Support setup and qualification of new equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
2) Contract Manufacturer (CM) Support
a. Collaborate with contract manufacturers to transfer processes, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure alignment with company quality and performance standards.
b. Review and approve CM process documentation, validations, and change controls.
c. Serve as the technical liaison between internal engineering and external manufacturing partners.
3) New Product Introduction (NPI)
a. Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability and scalability of new designs.
b. Support pilot builds, process qualifications, and ramp-up to full production.

4) Continuous Improvement & Quality
a. Drive continuous improvement through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications
1) Education:

Job Summary
The Production Manager is a key member of the Torrance plant's Leadership Team. The responsibilities include overall production management of a high-volume automotive chemicals and consumer products manufacturing plant. Ideal candidate is a demonstrated leader, and has proven success meeting and/ or exceeding production goals. This position oversees production of 4 liquid filling lines and a blow molding line that manufactures bottles from less than one gallon up to drums and totes. This role is responsible for achieving adherence of daily packaging line schedule, including production line standard rates, labor efficiencies, product quality, overall Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP/Housekeeping) and employee safety. Additional accountabilities for this role are shift’s overall preparation to run, including coordination of line mechanical set-ups, product supply and material supply from leads and warehousing that meets scheduled line start-up. This individual MUST be outgoing, entrepreneurial, a self starter, and technically talented with strong leadership skills and abilities. Strengths must include communication, coaching, and mentoring skills, and the ability to promote enhanced employee relations and reports to the Plant Manager.
This position requires fully on-site work at our Torrance, California Plant work to cover multiple production shifts. The expected compensation for this position is an annual salary of $108,000-$118,000 depending on experience and qualifications and is bonus eligible.
Day to Day Accountabilities
- Oversees activities of production lines to achieve production rates that meet or exceed standards (including efficient changeovers)
- Responsible for the training and performance management of team members to ensure that each line is staffed with qualified and motivated individuals
- Ensure the identification of product quality problems and implementation of corrective actions
- Utilize theory of constraints or lean manufacturing techniques to evaluate and manage production counts, machine speeds, scrap and downtime to drive reliability to desired levels
- Record and report accurate production counts, machine speeds, scrap counts, line down time, and other data as directed by Production Manager
- Ensure adequate supply of materials (skid tickets, skid records, gloves) (staging and de-staging)
- Responsible for using correct product labor/speed standard
- Enforce all GMP’s, Safety and Environmental regulations as well as company policies
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of paperwork
- Able to meet deadlines to deliver production requirements
- Must be driven with a desire to progress through promotion

The Manufacturing Engineer IV shall drive product and process changes to reduce cost, process cycle time, inventory, and improve quality and delivery; implement continuous improvement to increase productivity and provide technical support for numerous production and developmental programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position entails breaking down customer engineering requirements per drawing to review manufacturability and to create manufacturing planning, bills of material (BOM), liaison with manufacturing personnel to improve processes, troubleshoot assembly and machining problems, and reduce the time to manufacture products with the implementation of time saving measures while ensuring the quality, integrity and certification properties of products manufactured is maintained or improved. Must be flexible and be able to work in a fast-paced environment in groups or individually.
• Designing and developing manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.
• Provide technical support in troubleshooting existing manufacturing processes and/or product lines to achieve customer quality standards and profit objectives.
• Assist in optimizing manufacturing efficiency and quality standards through the implementation of improved processes, materials, methods and facilities.
• Reviewing design and contracting production for new product launches.
• Provide technical input for process definition, material performance, and product cell layout to manufacturing feasibility.

• Ensure standardization and compliance to engineering, customer and company specification for processes employed in the production of interior products.
• Perform engineering analyses and apply problem-solving methods to support new product development and sustaining production. Perform root cause and corrective action on parts and processes that are not in control.

• Identify new equipment, tool designs, and processes to improve consistency, accuracy, and cycle times. Design tooling, fixtures and jigs to improve manufacturing.
• Interface directly with assemblers, production supervisors, leads, and management on a routine basis
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
• Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
• Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operator
• Coordinate with suppliers and external resources needed in developing and implementing new processes and improving existing processes
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 7 - 8+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Ability to read and decipher drawings and procedures, and GD&T.
• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and use of machinery including Programming of NC machines.
• • Must have knowledge of materials and metals processing, including Heat Treat and Coatings for aerospace requirements.
• Must be able to perform basic measurement and inspection processes.
• Must demonstrate knowledge and experience in creation of Manufacturing Planning for product realization.
• Must have experience with MIL-STD documents, reading and interpretation of ASME Y14.5.
• Must be able to write engineering reports that include analysis and results.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• CAD experience in CATIA or Pro-E a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft products is essential.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Job Overview:
You will collaborate closely with our engineering and production teams, serving as the subject matter expert for our control’s platform. In this role, you will support our service technicians in the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and retrofitting of PLC-based control systems utilized in hydraulic and servo-electric presses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control System Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair PLC-based press control systems, hydraulic motion control circuits, and servo systems.
- Installation & Commissioning: Install, configure, and commission control systems for hydraulic and servo electric presses, ensuring proper integration of PLCs and peripherals
- Retrofits & Upgrades: Assist in modernizing hydraulic press controls, upgrading outdated PLCs, HMIs, motion controllers, and hydraulic servo systems for improved performance and automation.
- Field Service & Customer Support: Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting for hydraulic and servo electric press controls, minimizing downtime, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Programming & Debugging: Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC logic, HMI screens, motion control programs, and press automation sequences.
- Preventive Maintenance & Optimization: Conduct control system inspections and hydraulic system tuning to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain service reports, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and software backups for customer and internal records.
- Training & Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and service teams to provide training and guidance on press control systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, most commonly Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 5-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- 7-10 years industry experience without a bachelor’s degree
- Self-starter who is adaptable to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in an interactive group environment are essential.
