Rate: $26–$35/hr
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Lab Test Technician to join our team. This role involves hands-on work with electronic assemblies, test equipment, and prototypes in a fast-paced engineering environment. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent soldering and harnessing skills, and experience performing functional testing and troubleshooting of electronic circuits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform PCBA modifications, including component rework, soldering/de-soldering, and blue wire modifications in accordance with IPC-610 Class 3 standards.
- Build wire harnesses to IPC/WHMA-A-620C specifications.
- Assemble and/or set up custom test equipment based on engineering diagrams and specifications.
- Conduct functional and circuit block testing of electronic circuit assemblies and prototypes.
- Troubleshoot and identify root causes of failures in electronic assemblies.
- Maintain accurate test records and update procedures as required.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of technician experience in electronics or engineering labs.
- Technology/Technician degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in electric vehicle electronics is a plus.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Proficient in soldering fine pitch ICs and 0402 components.
- Experienced in building wire harnesses.
- Hands-on experience with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, e-loads, etc.).
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
- Familiarity with Jira tools and Python scripting is a plus.

- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, including bookings and margin performance.

- Design and develop Reverse Osmosis (RO), instrumentation, and control systems for standard and custom projects using forecasting software.

- Prepare water mass balances and system performance projections.
- Partner with Drafting to produce PFDs, P&IDs, general arrangements, equipment layouts, and supporting documentation for proposals and post-award submittals.

- Develop comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, including process descriptions, scopes of work, equipment lists, and performance guarantees within customer deadlines.
- Support Project Management and Engineering post-award through submittals, production, installation, commissioning, performance testing, and warranty support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with End Users, EPC firms, and Engineering Consultants.
- Manage project and sales data and communicate updates effectively across the global sales team.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of experience in application engineering and proposal development for custom industrial water and wastewater treatment systems, including aeration, clarification, disinfection, media and membrane filtration (NF, RO, UF), water softening, ion exchange, and systems for raw water, boiler water, cooling water, oily water, process water, produced water, ultrapure water, and wastewater treatment.
- Experience modeling treatment solutions based on influent water analysis and effluent quality requirements to meet customer CapEx and OpEx objectives.
- Knowledge of technical, commercial, and legal principles related to proposals, costing, pricing, and contract negotiations for risk mitigation.

Implement and manage a comprehensive safety training program based on OSHA and industry-specific requirements.
Manage the workplace ergonomics program, active response, and adjustments result in negating any mandatory program requirements.
Review facility procedures and work instructions consistent with ISO formatting.
Develop Safety Risk Assessment procedures Provide subject matter expertise in Process Safety ensuring industry best practice.
Site inspections and corrective action(s): Train and direct management to inspect facilities, work sites and equipment for violations and hazards.
Provide direction to management on correcting identified problems in a timely manner.
Follow up to make sure all corrective actions were taken and completed.
Assist where needed.
Responsible for updating, maintaining and auditing location safety standards and procedures on a quarterly or annual basis as needed.
