EGS is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to support nuclear material processing systems, enrichment‐related technologies, and high‐hazard chemical operations. This role provides process design, system development, troubleshooting, testing, and operational support for systems involving vacuum environments, cryogenic fluids, and related process supporting systems. This role contributes to the design, installation, and operation of multiple process areas and may also serve as the responsible engineer for the design, installation and operation for a process area.

Key Responsibilities

• Support process design and operation of systems handling uranium‐bearing materials, including cryogenic systems, vacuum systems, and high‐temperature furnace environments.
• Develop and optimize process parameters for batch and continuous operations, including thermal, vacuum, gas flow, and material handling characteristics.
• Provide input to design packages, work packages, and process change documentation for nuclear or high‐hazard chemical systems.
• Perform field walkdowns to verify existing configurations, gather process data, and support constructability and installation planning.
• Support testing, evaluation, and operation of R&D‐scale or prototype chemical process equipment.
• Contribute to system troubleshooting, operational support, and identification of process improvements for nuclear and chemical systems.
• Support safety basis documentation, hazard evaluations, and compliance activities for systems operating under DOE/NNSA or NRC requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, nuclear engineering, material science, material science engineering, mechanical engineering, or another related field.

Position Summary

The Senior Test/Operations Engineer Subject Matter Expert performs a broad range of activities supporting operations oversight, testing, commissioning, and readiness of complex, highly regulated nuclear or industrial facilities.

Job Summary:

Incumbent will perform, plan, develop, evaluate, and analyze electrical engineering design tasks and projects with a primary focus on instrumentation and motor controls electronics and electric machinery. · Initial area of focus will be the deployment of new machine control electronics and machine drive electronics for the manufacturing facility in Oak Ridge, TN as well as the production facility in Piketon, OH. Additional assignments will be related to gaseous centrifuge enrichment machines, support equipment and other industry projects.

· With minimal supervision, provides electrical engineering support by preparing design packages, construction specifications, statements of work, equipment specifications, schedules, and cost estimates necessary for project implementation in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.

· With minimal supervision, manage multiple projects including offset manufacturing of electronics and testing in house.

· Incumbent will have experience, knowledge, and skills in Electrical Engineering discipline; is responsible for all phases of assigned standard engineering projects, ensuring the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at an appropriate cost.

· Plans, develops, and implements electrical instrumentation and control systems and electrical design modifications incorporating various types of electrical components with a variety of power distribution levels.
